DRIVER<\/p>\n
JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n
To safely drive company vehicles, undertaking company duties as well as transport employees, company clients, company assets as requested. To use the company vehicles in accordance with the existing procedures and requirements and ensure that vehicle(s) are kept clean, serviced, and roadworthy and compliant with Road Traffic Regulations.

\n\u00a0PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)<\/p>\n
Increased Efficiency<\/p>\n
Inspects vehicle(s) for official use, checking tyre pressure, oil level, indicators and other basic mechanic or electric elements to ensure compliance of traffic rules.
\nTransports employees as required including airport transfers.
\nTransports company assets as requested.
\nFuels vehicles and monitors consumption
\nCompletes the vehicle logbook as required by IDC Operating Procedures to control vehicle movement and fuel consumption.
\nUndertakes basic checks and ensure that vehicles are in good road worthy condition.
\nMaintains service records for company vehicles and ensure regular servicing.
\nEnsures vehicles are kept clean.
\nPrompts Senior Administrative Officer to licence and insure vehicles in good time.
\nTransfers mail between IDC and designated places to ensure quick delivery of mail.
\nEnsures provision of safe and efficient transport services.<\/p>\n
Enhanced employee engagement and performance<\/p>\n
Timely submission of completed performance contract to supervisor.
\nSuggest and propose initiatives to support corporate values suggested to supervisor.
\nEnsure submission of completed Performance Appraisal form to supervisor.
\nPeriodically submits required reports relating to mentorship and training\/coaching programmes to the department in charge of Human Capital.<\/p>\n
Furtherance of Company\u2019s Interests<\/p>\n
Exercise the powers and duties generally exercised by Driver in the furtherance of the interests of the company as may be authorised and or delegated by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n

Health and Safety<\/p>\n
Take reasonable care for own health and safety as well as that of other employees, clients, and others as may be required from time to time.<\/p>\n
Meetings<\/p>\n
Attend staff\/departmental meetings.<\/p>\n

Reports<\/p>\n
Submits duly completed in motor vehicle source documents for processing and approvals.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL\/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS\/EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Professional Qualification:<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate
\nDriving Licence Class C and above<\/p>\n

Minimum Relevant Work Experience:<\/p>\n
2 years relevant work experience or similar position.<\/p>\n
