\nArmature Winders- Ten (10)
\nJOB PURPOSE \/ DESCRIPTION
\nTo carry out rewinding works on transformers for both High Voltage and Low Voltage coils. Maintenance and operation of winding equipment and tools.
\nQUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
\nThe minimum Certificate in Electrical\/Armature Winding from a reputable learning institution.<\/p>\n

Minimum of [2\u20133] years\u2019 practical experience.
\nRegistered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).<\/p>\n
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n
To carry out continuous risk assessment before and during task execution.
\nRemove damaged or burnt transformer windings (HV & LV) during overhaul.
\nAccurately measure and record winding data (turns, conductor size, configuration, insulation class).
\nRewind transformer coils using appropriate copper or aluminium conductors.
\nApply correct insulation materials (press paper, kraft paper, insulation boards, sleeves, etc.).
\nPerform coil assembly, taping, clamping, and varnishing as required.
\nEnsure proper inter-layer insulation and clearances are maintained.
\nAssist in core assembly, stacking, and re-tightening of laminations.
\nConduct basic electrical checks such as continuity and resistance tests before tanking.
\nMaintain workshop tools, winding machines, and equipment in good condition.
\nAlways maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the workshop.
\nObserve all safety and quality control procedures during repairs
\nShould be able to carry out any other assigned tasks<\/p>\n
