\nZCAS University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:<\/p>\n
2. SENIOR LECTURER \/ LECTURER I IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (1 POSITION)<\/p>\n
2.1. Job Purpose:
\nResponsible for teaching, conducting research and carrying out other academic related tasks in the relevant field.<\/p>\n
2.2. Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and exams.
\nCreate and update syllabi in accordance with university guidelines to stay current with developments in the field.
\nAssess student progress, grade assignments, exams, and academic papers while providing constructive feedback.
\nConduct original research in the field of expertise and publish findings in academic journals, books, or conference proceedings.
\nOffer academic advice and mentorship to students.
\nHold regular office hours for student consultations.
\nAssist students with career guidance and professional development.
\nEngage with the broader community through public service, lectures, workshops, and outreach activities.
\nFoster partnerships with industry, government, and other educational institutions.
\nOffer consultancy services to the wider community in accordance with the University\u2019s Consultancy Policy.<\/p>\n
2.3. Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five credits including English and Mathematics or equivalent.
\nAn earned Bachelor of Business Administration with at least a credit.
\nAn earned Master of Business Administration.
\nAn earned Doctorate (PhD) in Business Administration or equivalent.
\nQualification in Teaching Methodology.
\nFor consideration to the Senior Lecturer position, the applicant should have supervised a minimum of four (4) postgraduate students to completion as a principal supervisor.
\nAt least five (5) years teaching experience at a university\/research institute for consideration at Senior Lecturer level, or a minimum of two (2) years teaching experience for consideration at Lecturer I level.
\nAt least ten (10) peer-reviewed publications in recognised journals in the field of specialization for consideration at Senior Lecturer level, or a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications for consideration at Lecturer I level.
\nEvidence of contribution to public service.
\nMembership with a relevant professional body.<\/p>\n
2.4. Key Competencies and Attributes<\/p>\n
In-depth knowledge of business administration.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\nExcellent interpersonal and networking abilities, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
\nExcellent written and verbal\u00a0\u00a0communication skills, with attention to detail.
\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
\nInnovative and able to work under minimal supervision.<\/p>\n
