CORPORATE AFFAIRS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER (x1)
\nLocation:\u00a0Monze Campus<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) O\u2019levels.
\nBA in Mass Communications or Public Relations.
\nDegree or Diploma in Marketing is added advantage.
\nAt least three (3) years\u2019 work experience.
\nValid driver\u2019s licence.<\/p>\n
Job purpose:
\nTo plan the overall strategic function of public relations, marketing and customer care for Rusangu University by managing the institution\u2019s image, communication strategies, Radio Station, events, and stakeholder engagements. Ensuring that all activities are designed to promote and maintain a favourable public image for the University both internally and externally.

Major Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Provide functional oversight for communications, marketing and customer care for Rusangu University in line with the institution\u2019s strategic objectives.
\nManage the Rusangu University Protocol
\nOversee the Rusangu Radio Station.
\nPreparation and management of Rusangu University Customer Care Policy.
\nManagement of communication between the University and its various stakeholders.
\nDevelop content for industry publication, and issue approved press releases and press statements.
\nDevelop standard brand guidelines for use in all publications bearing the Rusangu University logo.
\nDesign quality marketing graphics.
\nRespond to press queries aimed at enhancing goodwill and safeguarding the image of Rusangu University.
\nAdvise and guide the University regarding external\/internal threats and opportunities and create strategies to protect, enhance and accelerate business strategies.
\nEnsure close and cordial relations are maintained with all line ministries and that all communications are in line with Government mandate.
\nDrive public relations, community affairs and corporate social responsibility activities in line institutional policies.
\nManage digital communication by efficient and effective utilization of the Rusangu University Website, and all social media platforms to interactively project information that enhances the University\u2019s reputation and identity.
\nManagement and oversight of official emails, internal and external communications, and content calendars.
\nCoordinate and oversee all university branding.
\nEngage in aggressive promotion of Rusangu University through deliberate target marketing in line with the approved marketing strategy.
\nImplementation of enrolment plans and strategies.
\nMaintain good relationships with journalists, editors, and broadcasters.
\nEvent management and coordination, and participation in annual graduation ceremony preparations and activities.
\nEfficient and accurate provision of information to clients.
\nOversee all Rusangu University branding.
\nPrepare and manage the publicity and courtesy budgets.
\nManage guest accommodation.<\/p>\n
