RU is an equal-opportunity employer that offers competitive remuneration packages.<br \/>\nJob seeker resources<\/p>\n<p>HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (x1)<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0Monze Campus<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) O\u2019levels.<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Human Resource Management.<br \/>\nDiploma in Public Administration or Management Studies is added advantage.<br \/>\nZIHRM Membership.<br \/>\nAt least two (2) years\u2019 work experience.<\/p>\n<p>Job purpose:<br \/>\nTo provide a wide range of human resource, administrative and employee relations services for the Human Resource Department and ensure the smooth and timely flow of information between the Human Resource Department and all RU employees. To support the Human Resource and Administration Manager in planning and coordinating RU employee relations programs, and in interpretation and implementation of policies.<\/p>\n<p>Major Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Participate in recruitment, orientation and onboarding of new faculty and staff.<br \/>\nSupport the compliance of all Human Resource procedures and related information with applicable Zambian laws.<br \/>\nProcess monthly biometrics attendance reports.<br \/>\nConsolidate monthly payroll inputs.<br \/>\nParticipate in annual salary surveys.<br \/>\nParticipate in preparation of the annual employees\u2019 benefits budget.<br \/>\nManage employee data to support institutional business needs.<br \/>\nParticipate in coordinating employee grievances and disciplinary hearings.<br \/>\nParticipate in coordinating and executing Industrial Relations matters.<br \/>\nParticipate in processing and management of employment and study permits for RU employees and students.<br \/>\nSensitize faculty and staff on policies, benefits and social security issues.<br \/>\nEnsure the timely and accurate processing of employee data and personal change requests.<br \/>\nOversee the maintenance of proper personnel files and ensure privacy of individuals and information confidentiality.<br \/>\nPrepare Workers\u2019 Compensation Fund employee data &amp; process staff compensation claims.<br \/>\nProcess funeral assistance claims.<br \/>\nParticipate in job evaluations.<br \/>\nCoordinate performance evaluations.<br \/>\nConsolidate the training need analysis derived from performance evaluations.<br \/>\nParticipate in the review and updating of job descriptions.<br \/>\nParticipate in coordinating staff development and training activities.<br \/>\nParticipate in coordination of talent management and succession planning.<br \/>\nParticipate in organizing regular team-building programs.<br \/>\nParticipate in coordinating and implementation of faculty and staff well-being programs.<br \/>\nParticipate in the review and updating of policies.<br \/>\nCoordinate the updating and renewal of the Group Life Assurance Scheme.<br \/>\nCoordinate staff housing and staff movement procedures.<br \/>\nCoordinate employee exit and repatriation procedures.<br \/>\nConsolidate data for quarterly management reports.<\/p>\n<p>Essential Knowledge, Skills and Competences<\/p>\n<p>Confidentiality.<br \/>\nOrganizational and analytical skills.<br \/>\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize work.<br \/>\nAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.<br \/>\nAbility to respectfully communicate and interact with all levels of employees.<br \/>\nKnowledge of employment and immigration laws.<br \/>\nAttention to detail.<br \/>\nFlexibility and adaptability.<br \/>\nAbility to work with minimum supervision.<br \/>\nAbility to work well and collaborate with colleagues across departments.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
