\nJOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT
\nSummary:\u00a0This is a full time role for a detail oriented and highly analytical Accountant responsible for overseeing financial operations within a dynamic lending environment. The role entails maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and delivering strategic financial insights to support business growth and optimize portfolio performance.

\nDuties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate financial records for all lending operations, including loan disbursements, repayments, interest income, and the investment portfolio.
\nPrepare annual management accounts, financial statements, and loan portfolio performance reports (active loans, non-performing loans and bad debts).
\nPrepare Quarterly reports for board meetings.
\nHandle reconciliations, accounts payables\/receivables, payroll, and statutory submissions (NAPSA, PAYE, ITX & NHIMA).
\nMonitor budgets, cash flow, and operating expenses to support financial planning.
\nEnsure compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the company i.e. trading license certificates and money lenders license.
\nLiaise with investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
\nProvide timely financial insights to guide management decision making.<\/p>\n
Accounting & Auditing
\n\u00a0
\nQualifications<\/p>\n
Diploma or Degree in Accounting\/Finance.
\nMust be a ZICA member.
\nExperience in financial reporting, loan\u00a0\u00a0accounting, and management\u00a0accounts preparation in a lending or financial services environment.
\nProficiency in Sage, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
\nStrong analytical and organizational skills with high confidentiality and integrity.<\/p>\n
