The role ensures compliance with Zambian labour laws, manages employee relations, and oversees all HR functions including recruitment, performance management, training, compensation, and administration.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n1. HR Strategy &amp; Policy Implementation<\/p>\n<p>Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals<br \/>\nDesign and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with Zambian labour regulations<br \/>\nAdvise management on HR best practices and organizational development<\/p>\n<p>2. Recruitment &amp; Talent Management<\/p>\n<p>Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes<br \/>\nDevelop job descriptions and person specifications<br \/>\nImplement onboarding and induction programs<br \/>\nBuild talent pipelines and succession plans<\/p>\n<p>3. Employee Relations &amp; Engagement<\/p>\n<p>Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters<br \/>\nHandle disciplinary procedures, grievances, and conflict resolution<br \/>\nPromote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives<\/p>\n<p>4. Performance Management<\/p>\n<p>Develop and manage performance appraisal systems<br \/>\nSupport managers in performance improvement processes<br \/>\nAlign employee performance with organizational objectives<\/p>\n<p>5. Learning &amp; Development<\/p>\n<p>Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programs<br \/>\nDesign and implement capacity-building initiatives<br \/>\nMonitor effectiveness of training programs<\/p>\n<p>6. Compensation &amp; Benefits<\/p>\n<p>Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration<br \/>\nEnsure competitive and equitable compensation structures<br \/>\nManage employee benefits such as pensions, medical insurance, and leave<\/p>\n<p>7. Compliance &amp; Legal<\/p>\n<p>Ensure full compliance with Zambian labour laws and statutory requirements<br \/>\nManage contracts, employee records, and HR documentation<br \/>\nLiaise with government bodies (e.g., labour office, NAPSA, NHIMA)<\/p>\n<p>8. HR Administration &amp; Reporting<\/p>\n<p>Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems<br \/>\nPrepare HR reports and analytics for management decision-making<br \/>\nOversee general HR and administrative functions<\/p>\n<p>Key Requirements<br \/>\nEducation<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field<br \/>\nProfessional certification (e.g., ZIHRM membership) is an added advantage<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>Minimum of 5\u20138 years HR experience, with at least 2\u20133 years in a managerial role<br \/>\nExperience in handling labour relations and compliance in Zambia<\/p>\n<p>Skills &amp; Competencies<\/p>\n<p>Strong knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices<br \/>\nExcellent leadership and people management skills<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills<br \/>\nConflict resolution and negotiation skills<br \/>\nHigh level of integrity and confidentiality<br \/>\nProficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/p>\n<p>Employee retention rate<br \/>\nTime-to-fill vacancies<br \/>\nEmployee satisfaction\/engagement levels<br \/>\nCompliance with labour laws and audit outcomes<br \/>\nTraining effectiveness and development metrics<\/p>\n<p>Working Conditions<\/p>\n<p>Standard office environment<br \/>\nMay require occasional travel<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
