Role Overview:
\nTo safely and efficiently carry out tyre inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement on Heavy Earth Moving Machinery and light vehicles to ensure optimal equipment availability, safety, and operational reliability in line with Sable Zinc standards.
\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Inspect, assess, and identify worn out damaged, or faulty tyres and related components in accordance with company maintenance standards.
\nPerform tyre removal, refitting, inflation, and balancing on Heavy Earth Moving Machinery and light vehicles.
\nConduct tyre repairs including puncture repairs, section repairs, and reconditioning in line with approved technical procedures.
\nAdvise operators and supervisors on tyre condition, risks, and required corrective actions to maintain roadworthiness and safety.
\nComplete tyre requisition forms and coordinate collection and issuance of tyres from stores.
\nMaintain accurate records of tyre usage, repairs, replacements, and inspections.
\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and use of appropriate PPE at all times.<\/p>\n
Preferred candidate qualifications & experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate
\nTrade Test \/ Craft Certificate in Tyre Fitting, Automotive Engineering, or related field
\nMembership with Engineering Institution of Zambia
\nAt least 2(two) years working experience in a related field
\nValid Silicosis Certificate<\/p>\n
