\nOptic Fibre Technician
\nKey Responsibilities:\u2022 Plan and execute the installation of fibre optic cables according to project requirements.\u2022 Lay out cable routes, splice points, and termination points to optimize performance and minimize signal loss.\u2022 Install fibre optic cables in underground conduits, overhead lines, or within buildings as needed.\u2022 Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any issues with fibre optic cables, connectors, or related equipment.\u2022 Perform splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.\u2022 Conduct comprehensive testing of fibre optic cables using specialized equipment to measure signal strength, attenuation, and other key parameters.\u2022 Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with best practices and minimize risks.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:\u2022 Diploma\/Certificate in Telecommunications, Networking, or related field.\u2022 Familiarity with OTDR, fusion splicing machines, and other fibre optic testing equipment.\u2022 Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber deployment\u2022 Experience with OPGW\/ADSS cable splicing
