The University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Registrar.<br \/>\nREGISTRAR<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nThe Registrar will be responsible for overseeing the University\u2019s administrative systems, student administration, human capital management, governance support, and regulatory compliance. The Registrar plays a key role in ensuring that institutional operations effectively support the University\u2019s academic mission and strategic objectives.Recruitment software<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br \/>\nUniversity Governance and Administration<br \/>\nServe as the principal administrative officer of the University and advise the Vice Chancellor on administrative and governance matters.<br \/>\nProvide secretariat services to University Council, Senate, and other statutory committees, ensuring proper documentation and implementation of resolutions.<br \/>\nCoordinate the development, implementation, and review of institutional policies, procedures, and administrative systems.<br \/>\nEnsure proper institutional records management and documentation of official University decisions.<br \/>\nFacilitate effective communication between academic departments, administrative units, and senior management.<br \/>\nStudent Administration and Academic Support<br \/>\nOversee student admissions, registration, and enrolment processes in line with University policies and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\nSupervise the maintenance of accurate student academic records and transcripts.<br \/>\nCoordinate examinations administration and graduation processes in collaboration with academic departments.<br \/>\nEnsure effective delivery of student administrative services, including certification, academic records, and student documentation.<br \/>\nSupport Senate in implementing academic regulations and student policies.<br \/>\nHuman Resource Management<br \/>\nOversee the Human Resource function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with Zambian labour laws and University employment policies.<br \/>\nProvide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary processes, and staff welfare matters.<br \/>\nSupport workforce planning and staff capacity development in line with institutional growth.<br \/>\nPromote a professional, ethical, and performance-driven work culture.<br \/>\nRegulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance<br \/>\nEnsure the University complies with Higher Education Authority (HEA) regulations and other statutory requirements.<br \/>\nCoordinate the preparation and submission of institutional reports and regulatory documentation.<br \/>\nSupport academic units in programme accreditation and quality assurance processes.<br \/>\nEnsure adherence to institutional governance frameworks and operational policies.<br \/>\nStrategic Planning and Institutional Development<br \/>\nContribute to the development and implementation of the University\u2019s strategic plan.<br \/>\nSupport initiatives aimed at institutional growth, operational efficiency, and service delivery improvement.<br \/>\nProvide administrative leadership in the implementation of major institutional projects and reforms.<br \/>\nSupport management in strengthening institutional systems and governance structures.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience<br \/>\nAn earned PhD from a recognized and accredited institution.<br \/>\nA Master\u2019s Degree in Education Management, Human Resource Management, Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.<br \/>\nMinimum of 7\u201310 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a higher education institution.<br \/>\nAt least 3\u20135 years of senior management experience.<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of higher education governance, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance.<br \/>\nExperience in Human Resource Management and institutional administration will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nKey Competencies<br \/>\nStrategic leadership and institutional management<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of university governance and administration<br \/>\nExcellent organizational and planning skills<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills<br \/>\nHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality<br \/>\nAbility to manage multiple institutional functions effectively<br \/>\nSalary Package:<br \/>\nAn attractive and competitive package will be offered commensurate with one\u2019s qualification and experience.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
