Metals at Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zanaco Bank Plc is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank\u2019s strategic vision, in the Commercial Division under the Retail Banking Department at Kitwe Business Centre:<\/p>\n<p>Role Description<\/p>\n<p>JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n<p>Manage relationships under the Mines &amp; Metals portfolio for the Copperbelt region under the supervision and guidance of the Head \u2013 Mines &amp; Metals on a daily basis.<br \/>\nAttain targeted sales goals, performance targets and customer net promoter score through the effective management of the portfolio<br \/>\nDirectly responsible for the management of the portfolio to ensure smooth running of each account.<br \/>\nReview account plans for all networked customers with a view to enhancing business volumes and earnings<br \/>\nConduct joint calls with product partners with emphasis on cross selling to increase wallet share for the Bank.<br \/>\nEnsure no loss of valued corporate relationships<br \/>\nQuarterly review of portfolio performance per account<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the\u00a0Head Mines &amp; Metals\u00a0the following are among the\u00a0Job Key Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Responsible for implementing marketing strategies to develop existing portfolio and development of new opportunities.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Identify and implement marketing strategies and business opportunities development and implementation of network sales process to drive pipeline growth and deal execution.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Understand customer needs and provide them with products and services to achieve business objectives<br \/>\n\u00b7 Provide support in structuring propositions to maximize business opportunities of an acceptable quality.<\/p>\n<p>Negotiate terms and conditions and prepare credit applications for new and renewal of loan facilities for corporate clients<br \/>\nPresent and defend credit applications in the Management Credit Committee sittings\/meetings<br \/>\nEstablish and effective sales call cycle for key customers, partners and contacts and update the \u201cdeal pipeline\u201d.<br \/>\nComplete the wallet size for clients timely &amp; appropriately file all client calls, client<br \/>\ncommunications<br \/>\n, internal memos, credit papers on the assigned portfolio.<br \/>\nTimely initiate all credit processes (extensions, excesses full briefs, annual reviews)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Cross Sell Trade, Treasury and transaction products and refer potential clients of the Bank for Commercial and Agric and Retail.<\/p>\n<p>Assist Head \u2013 Global and Large Corporates with product knowledge and market research<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Preparation of the credit appraisal and performance of all necessary due diligence procedures for clients seeking credit.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Monitoring performance of all accounts and credit facilities in the portfolio.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Be aware and fully understand all the terms of the credit policy.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Act in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements and standards<br \/>\n\u00b7 Manage the loan book within parameters set by risk management<br \/>\n\u00b7 Assess risk and business strategies of the portfolio and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Act as the \u201cfirst line of defense\u201d as required by the Credit Standard.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Collate all action points raised in call reports, track and drive each action to its conclusion.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Assist in the communication and implementation of any action necessary to improve service in respect of complaints\/compliments received.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Any other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by management.<br \/>\nINTERNAL\/EXTERNAL CONTACT<br \/>\nExternal:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Customers, funding organizations, co-operating partners and industry associations<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Internal: All internal Business Units<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS\/EXPERIENCE<br \/>\n\u00b7 University Degree in Business or relevant discipline<br \/>\n\u00b7 Certification \/ Experience in the Mining Sector will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\u00b7 Commercial credit analysis certification will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\u00b7 6 years relevant experience preferably in a banking environment with relationship Management or credit analyst skills in a similar portfolio.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Experience in and exposure to Development finance, credit appraisal, environmental sustainability frameworks and Zambia\u2019s mining regulatory framework.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Working knowledge of financial products and services.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Demonstrated selling, negotiation and communication skills.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Demonstrates sound knowledge of PowerPoint and presentation skills.<br \/>\nJOB CORE COMPETENCIES<br \/>\n\u00b7 High levels of competency in quantitative and qualitative research methods<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders with all levels of staff up to and including executive management<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ability to learn and use complex concepts quickly<br \/>\n\u00b7 Team player<br \/>\n\u00b7 Efficient time management.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ambitious and energetic, able to get things done.<br \/>\n\u00b7 High level of maturity, integrity<\/p>\n<p>Disclaimer<\/p>\n<p>ONLY SHORTLISTED APPLICANTS WILL BE COMMUNICATED TO.<br \/>\nZanaco provides equal opportunity in employment for all qualified persons and prohibits discrimination in employment (women are encouraged to apply).<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
