\nReports to:\u00a0 \u00a0 Production Supervisor<\/p>\n
Job PurposeReporting to Production Supervisor \u2013 Beverages, to operate and monitor soy extraction and processing equipment used in the production of soy-based beverages and soy food products. The role ensures efficient soybean processing, product quality, and compliance with food safety standards while supporting the company\u2019s production targets.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities<\/p>\n
Soybean Preparation<\/p>\n
Receive, inspect, and handle soybeans delivered from approved suppliers and farmer networks.
\nOperate equipment for cleaning, soaking, sorting, and dehulling soybeans.
\nMonitor soaking times and water quality for optimal processing.<\/p>\n
Soy Extraction Operations<\/p>\n
Operate soy grinders, extraction tanks, and slurry preparation systems.
\nControl extraction parameters including:<\/p>\n
Grinding efficiency
\nWater-to-soy ratio
\nTemperature control<\/p>\n
Ensure optimal protein extraction and minimal raw material losses.<\/p>\n
Filtration and Separation<\/p>\n
Operate filtration systems to separate soy milk from okara (soy pulp).
\nMonitor filtration efficiency and manage by-products according to company procedures.<\/p>\n
Thermal Processing<\/p>\n
Assist in operating pasteurization or UHT systems used in soy beverage production.
\nEnsure processing temperatures meet food safety standards.<\/p>\n
Equipment Monitoring<\/p>\n
Monitor automated processing systems and control panels.
\nConduct routine equipment checks during operation.
\nReport any mechanical or process abnormalities to the maintenance team.<\/p>\n
Cleaning and Sanitation<\/p>\n
Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) procedures on soy processing equipment.
\nMaintain strict hygiene in accordance with GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22000 food safety standards.<\/p>\n
Quality Control<\/p>\n
Monitor product attributes including:<\/p>\n
Taste and odor
\nConsistency and texture
\nTemperature and process parameters
\nCollect samples for laboratory testing.<\/p>\n
Production Documentation<\/p>\n
Complete batch sheets, processing logs, and shift reports.
\nRecord:
\nRaw material usage
\nExtraction yields
\nProcessing times
\nEquipment performance.<\/p>\n
Health, Safety and Compliance<\/p>\n
Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
\nUse required personal protective equipment (PPE).
\nReport hazards, incidents, or process deviations immediately.<\/p>\n
Key Qualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
Minimum of 3 to 5 years, preferably in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and beverage industry.
\nQualifications: Diploma and\/or degree in Food Production, Chemical Engineering, Dairy\/Beverage Processing\/Agro Processing or relevant field<\/p>\n
Knowledge of soybean processing and plant-based milk extraction
\nUnderstanding of pasteurization and UHT processing
\nFamiliarity with food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000)
\nAbility to operate automated processing systems
\nBasic troubleshooting of processing equipment<\/p>\n
