\nPurpose of Role:
\nTo provide the Corporation with protection from potential threats such as theft, vandalism, trespass, and other forms of security breaches.<\/p>\n

\nDuties and Key Responsibilities
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ensuring the safety and security of all Corporation assets by complying with safe working procedures and carrying out all assigned security duties, including internal and external patrols within the Corporation\u2019s premises.
\nReporting any security incidents and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
\nGreeting, assisting, and directing members of the public visiting the Corporation.
\nWorking as part of a team to provide conflict resolution support where there is potential for conflict within the Corporation\u2019s premises.
\nPreparing complete and accurate handover and incident reports, and taking appropriate action on all reports received at the commencement of or during a duty shift.
\nControlling access and monitoring activities at designated points of operation.
\nPreventing crime and other wrong doing.
\nConducting shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift to ensure that all matters of concern are effectively communicated for continuity in service and incident management.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 Certificate.
\nAny additional professional qualification will be an added advantage.
\nMinimum of 2 years\u2019 work experience as a Security Guard.
\nClean criminal record.<\/p>\n
