\n11. VALUATION SURVEYOR, SALARY GRADE ZRA05 (2 POSITIONS), LUSAKA REGION AND NORTHERN REGION, DOMESTIC TAXES FUNCTION
\nA. PURPOSEReporting to the Senior Inspector \u2013 Tax Audits, the job holder will be responsible for professionally determining the value of real property to ensure that property taxes are levied fairly, accurately, and consistently.<\/p>\n
B. MAIN DUTIES\/ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n
Develop annual and quarterly property value ranges for identified areas informed by the Government Valuation Roll and other market information.
\nPrepare property valuation reports as required in line with international best practice and local regulatory standards.
\nMaintain a database of property transactions to inform tax administration.
\nProvide technical support to tax auditors as required.
\nConduct inspections of properties and produce relevant reports.
\nLiaise with Ministries, Local Councils and other stakeholders to validate property documentation.
\nProvide technical support to enhance property taxation.
\nPerform other duties as assigned.
\nPrepare regular reports to inform management decisions.
\nImplement the PMDS in accordance with HR guidelines.
\nPerform any other related valuation duties exigent to the role.<\/p>\n
C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent with 5 Credits including Mathematics and English;
\nUniversity Degree with a bias in Real Estate, Built Environment, Land Economics, Valuation Surveying and other relevant professional and academic qualifications;
\nMinimum of five (5) years\u2019 relevant post qualifying work experience in valuation;
\nMust be a member of the Zambia Institute of Valuation Surveyors; and
\nKnowledge of property taxation laws is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
