\n3.0 MANAGER\u2013SECURITY SERVICES, SALARY GRADE ZRA04 (1 POSITION), ADMINISTRATION FUNCTION
\nA. PURPOSEReporting to the Assistant Director \u2013 Administration Support Services, the jobholder will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating all security activities in order to ensure optimum physical security for the Authority\u2019s assets, personnel and clients.<\/p>\n
B. MAIN DUTIES\/ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n
Providing guidance on Security Policy and operations to ensure that the assets and personnel of the Authority are well guarded and protected at all times.
\nDeveloping and implementing security budgets to ensure that all planned activities are implemented.
\nDetecting and investigating all criminal acts against the assets and personnel of the Authority as well as ascertaining the nature and cause of such crimes in order to formulate preventive measures.
\nFormulating terms of references for contracting security firms to ensure that all security concerns are taken care of during the tendering process.
\nMonitoring and coordinating all activities for contracted security firms and attached Police officers to ensure that they operate within the boundaries of the Authority\u2019s Security policy.
\nDeveloping and implementing security awareness programs for all members of staff so that they understand their security obligations within and around Authority\u2019s premises.
\nDeveloping and maintaining a cordial relationship with other government security wings such as Zambia Police and Zambia National Service to enhance collaboration and matters of common interest.
\nEnsuring that the installed CCTV system is effectively operational and a malfunction is urgently brought to the attention of ICT Department for resolutions.
\nConducting security surveys and physical security assessments at all ZRA locations and proposing mitigation measures for the risks identified.
\nEnsuring that intruder alarm systems installed in all Warehouses and cash offices are working efficiently.<\/p>\n
C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Grade 12 school Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) or Equivalent with credit or better including Mathematics and English;
\nBachelor of Laws Degree, Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration or any other Social Sciences;
\nMust have undergone Police\/ Military Training;
\nMinimum of five (5) years relevant post qualifying work experience in a Corporate environment;
\nValid Membership to a professional body will be an added advantage; and
\nMust possess Academic and Professional qualifications certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority.<\/p>\n
