The incumbent develops and manages a sales team, procures new business and retains existing business to achieve set financial targets. The incumbent oversees and monitors sales staff and ensures profitability by achieving agreed return on economic capital, non-interest revenue and new business targets. The incumbent builds and maintains profitable relationships with customers market share and delivering product cross sell and maintaining a robust risk control environment.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the\u00a0Head VAF\u00a0the following are among the\u00a0Job Key Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Formulates strategies for the growth of new business.<br \/>\nJob seeker tools<br \/>\n\u00b7 Drive business performance through implementation of effective calling programmes for vehicle and asset finance in conjunction with Commercial, CIB, Retail and digital segments in order to maximise face to face customer interface.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Identifies new customers through suppliers who are looking for new business, people who are seeking financial support and through the marketing network.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Sets operational plan for sales team on identifying new customers.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Develops operational efficiency and quality standards in line with the business\u2019s targeted financial performance.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Demonstrates cost consciousness and awareness of personal contribution to costs.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Increases knowledge and understanding of financial processes and adheres to required operating standards<br \/>\n\u00b7 Acquires new business to grow the asset book and increases market share with regards to asset-based finance.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Achieves agreed value-added product targets, e.g insurance and tracker.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Maximises opportunities to generate additional income.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Proactively manages categorised accounts to minimise risk of loss arising from non-performing accounts, thereby improving profitability of portfolio<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Provides creative financial solutions that add value to the customer.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Identifies how the business will measure itself compared to its competitors<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ensures customer retention by building and maintaining relationships with dealers and customers. Ensures calling patterns of Marketers are maintained and provides support as required.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Oversees the resolution of customer complaints and resolves escalated complaints.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Manages customer expectations through clear and accurate communication.<br \/>\nCommunications &amp; Media Studies<br \/>\n\u00b7 Remains abreast of changes in industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Provides specialist advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Spearheads marketing initiatives of the department to enhance brand awareness and visibility<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ensures ongoing stakeholder management.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Identifies innovative ways to enhance sales within area and increase profit margins.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Manages the implementation of solutions and ideas in support of the business area\/branch\u2019s innovation drive to increase revenue.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Prepares and delivers reports on initiatives in support of innovation and creativity to line manager.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Analyses customer financing needs.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Initiates quality credit applications as well as review credit applications prepared by subordinate sales staff.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Actively involved in structuring and championing large ticket transactions at forums like MCC, and Board<br \/>\n\u00b7 Effectively engages with credit to ensure win-win solutions for the Bank and customers<br \/>\n\u00b7 Manages the resolution of facility issues from operational areas to ensure customer satisfaction.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ensures the solution offered to the customer optimises all parties\u2019 requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Coordinates marketing, sales and support services to ensure portfolio performance and growth through retention<br \/>\n\u00b7 Investigates innovative ways to optimise processes<br \/>\n\u00b7 Contributes to the alignment of business processes to customer service.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ensures that quality standards are adhered to.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Contributes to team success by ensuring team commitment and cohesion.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Shares information and knowledge to achieve team goals.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Monitor sales performance by proactively highlighting areas that require improvement and constructively recommend solutions<br \/>\n\u00b7 Identifies training \/ development needs and pro-actively selects effective solutions to address own and staff development gaps.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Manages the performance contracting and review processes within agreed timelines for each team member.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Participates in Talent Management practices in line with HR policies and procedures.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ensures effective conflict resolution and responds to any complaints or concerns timeously.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Overall performance and consequence management for direct reports<br \/>\n\u00b7 Any other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by management.<br \/>\nINTERNAL\/EXTERNAL CONTACT<br \/>\n\u00b7 Existing \/ prospective customers<br \/>\n\u00b7 Internal stakeholders<br \/>\n\u00b7 Officials of regulatory bodies e.g. BOZ\u2013 for compliance and market information.<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS\/EXPERIENCE<br \/>\n\u00b7 Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Business Marketing, Economics or Business Management<br \/>\n\u00b7 Minimum of Six (6) years in a related role particularly in a corporate sales environment.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Working knowledge of financial products and services.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Demonstrated selling, negotiation and\u00a0\u00a0communication skills.<br \/>\nCommunications &amp; Media Studies<br \/>\n\u00b7 Demonstrates sound knowledge of PowerPoint and presentation skills.<br \/>\nJOB CORE COMPETENCIES<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder management<br \/>\nBusiness Strategy Alignment<br \/>\nFinancial Management<br \/>\nInterpretation of strategy across business units<\/p>\n<p>Disclaimer<\/p>\n<p>ONLY SHORTLISTED APPLICANTS WILL BE COMMUNICATED TO.<br \/>\nZanaco provides equal opportunity in employment for all qualified persons and prohibits discrimination in employment (women are encouraged to apply).<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
