The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, managing expenditures, and conducting internal reviews to ensure the institution\u2019s financial sustainability.<\/p>\n

\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Expenditure Management:\u00a0Oversee all college expenditures, ensuring they are valid, authorized, and within budgetary limits.
\nFinancial Review:\u00a0Conduct regular reviews of financial records, transactions, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
\nBudgetary Control:\u00a0Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and monitor variances on a monthly basis.
\nFinancial Reporting:\u00a0Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
\nAudit Facilitation:\u00a0Prepare files and schedules for both internal and external audits.
\nTax Compliance:\u00a0Ensure timely filing and payment of all statutory obligations (NAPSA, ZRA, etc.).
\nPayroll Management:\u00a0Oversee the accuracy of the payroll system and ensure timely disbursements.
\nResource Optimization:\u00a0Provide financial advice to the Executive Director on cost-saving measures and revenue enhancement.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Full Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\nProfessional qualification such as ZICA CA, ACCA, or CIMA.
\nValid membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
\nAt least 3\u20135 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the higher education sector.
\nStrong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
\nExcellent analytical skills with a focus on audit-ready financial reviews.
\nHigh level of integrity and ability to work under minimal supervision.<\/p>\n
