IRRIGATION OFFICER
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Operate and maintain centre pivot irrigation systems (alignment, pressure, rotation)
\nDevelop irrigation schedules based on crop water requirements
\nMonitor soil moisture using field tools
\nSupport installation and commissioning of irrigation infrastructure
\nDiagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
\nMaintain irrigation logs and performance data<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Degree\/Diploma in Agriculture Engineering, Water Engineering or related field
\nMinimum 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience with centre pivot irrigation systems
\nPractical knowledge of pumps, pipelines, valves, and irrigation controls
\nAbility to interpret irrigation layouts and technical drawings<\/p>\n
GRADUATE TRAINEES
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Participate in land preparation, planting, irrigation, and harvesting activities
\nSupport operation and calibration of farm equipment and irrigation systems
\nCollect and record field data
\nAssist supervisors in daily farm operations
\nUndergo rotational training across Agro sections<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Diploma\/Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Business or related field
\nBasic understanding of agricultural or technical operations
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Package
\nWillingness to work in field conditions<\/p>\n
AGRO CLERK
\nKawambwa Sugar Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Agro Clerk to support field operations through accurate data capture and reporting.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Capture and maintain daily field activity records (planting, irrigation, harvesting)
\nTrack agricultural inputs including fertilizers and chemicals
\nPrepare daily and weekly operational reports
\nSupport labour tracking and field coordination
\nMaintain proper documentation for operational control<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Diploma in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field
\nMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience in agriculture or operations support
\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills (data entry and basic analysis)<\/p>\n
STORES ATTENDANT
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Receive, check, and store materials
\nIssue materials as per approved requisitions
\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of stores
\nAssist in stock counts and reconciliations<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate
\nPrevious experience in stores or warehouse operations is an added advantage<\/p>\n
