The Company offers opportunities for all to learn develop and grow, whilst offering challenging career opportunities for lateral or vertical advancement.<br \/>\nZambia business directory<\/p>\n<p>POSITION : CHANNEL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER<br \/>\nCONTRACT :\u00a0PERMANENTLOCATION :\u00a0LUSAKAREPORTS TO :\u00a0COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Develop appropriate Tailored Service Packages (TSP\u2019s) and Occasion based marketing (OBM) programmes that fit and are appropriate to agreed channel strategies including special events, Refrigeration, merchandising, category management, signage and promotions.<br \/>\nDevelop Below the line (BTL) activities for Sorghum sponsorship programmes for the region.<br \/>\nSupport the formulation of Sorghum Business plan \/ Sales &amp; Distribution plan and develop frameworks that will drive its implementation.<br \/>\nEvaluates all relevant business channels, analyzes channel trends and recommends strategies for channel growth.<br \/>\nMonitors national customer and channel sales trend and explores means of accelerating sales and profit growth of the Sorghum Beverage.<br \/>\nDevelops, nurtures and maintains effective working relations with national and regional key account customers.<br \/>\nPrepares, negotiates and effects annual customer business plans.<br \/>\nInitiates as necessary, any market research projects to obtain accurate and up-to-date information on market shares of the organization\u2019s brands, competitor activities, consumer trends, demographics etc in various channels.<br \/>\nTracks and influences service delivery as measured by quarterly customer tracking instruments.<br \/>\nPrepares controls and monitors the channel development budget.<br \/>\nAssists in ensuring that National Account payments are made on time through liaison with head offices of the various National Accounts<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requirements<\/p>\n<p>Degree in Business Administration\/Studies or B.Comm, with at least 4 years in the marketing field, 2 of which should be of proven practical experience in sales.<br \/>\nVery good negotiating skills.<br \/>\nAbility to work with and manage multi-functional teams<br \/>\nProcess and project management ability and skills<br \/>\nIncumbent should have a clear knowledge of the retail and wholesale trade, discounting and promotional procedures and practices.<br \/>\nProficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).<br \/>\nA Member of the Zambia Institute of marketing<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
