\nAbout Cotton Development Trust (CDT)
\nThe Cotton Development Trust (CDT) is a leading cotton research and development organization dedicated to improving cotton productivity, seed production, sustainability, and farmer livelihoods in Zambia. CDT works closely with smallholder farmers, government institutions, and private sector stakeholders to promote innovative research, extension services, and capacity building in the cotton industry.
\nThrough its research programs, CDT focuses on cotton breeding, agronomy, integrated pest management, and climate-smart agriculture to enhance cotton yields and resilience.
\nCDT invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to fill the following positions:
\n1.0 ASSISTANT FARM MANAGER
\nJob Summary:\u00a0The Assistant Farm Manager will support the management of research farms, ensuring efficient implementation of farm operations and adherence to research protocols.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Assist in planning and supervising daily farm operations
\nSupport implementation of research trials and demonstrations
\nMonitor crop performance and farm inputs
\nSupervise farm workers and ensure proper task execution
\nMaintain farm records and reports
\nEnsure compliance with safety and environmental standards<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS\u00a0<\/p>\n
Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Agricultural Science or a related field
\nAt least 2 years of relevant work experience
\nMust be mature, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills
\nAbility to work in a team-oriented environment
\nFlexible and adaptable in fast-changing contexts<\/p>\n
All positions will report to the Head of Research Department.
