This role offers more than just a job \u2014 it\u2019s a structured development opportunity designed to shape, grow, and sustain your long\u2011term career with a global industry leader.

\nAs part of Orica\u2019s operations team, you will be developed into a safe, competent, and future\u2011ready MMU Operator role through a comprehensive training pathway. This includes structured learning, supervised on\u2011the\u2011job exposure, and progressive certification\/ licensing in explosives and delivery, all aligned to Orica\u2019s uncompromising safety culture, regulatory compliance, and standards of operational excellence.<\/p>\n
What you will be doing<\/p>\n

\nYou will work as part of a team on site, learning from experienced Operators and the Shotfirer\u2019s.
\nInteract with client representatives and site employees while building confidence in a professional mine environment.
\nYou will be part of a crew that may change in size and experience, giving you the opportunity to learn from different people and situations.
\nSafety First<\/p>\n
Follow Orica\u2019s Safety Charter and site SHE requirements.
\nParticipate in toolbox talks and safety reporting.
\n\u00a0
\nLearn the Job (Supervised)
\nSupport MMU operations and explosive delivery.
\nAssist with equipment checks, housekeeping, and basic fault finding.
\nWork alongside experienced Operators and Shotfirers.
\n\u00a0
\nBuild Your Career
\nProgress through a structured Trainee to Operator pathway.
\nComplete training and certification aligned to role competencies.<\/p>\n
What you will bring<\/p>\n
Essential
\nGrade 12 \/High School certificate.
\nValid Zambian driver\u2019s licence (or ability to obtain).
\nStrong safety mindset and willingness to learn.
\nAbility to work shifts and mining rosters.
\n\u00a0
\nAdvantageous (NOT Mandatory)
\nHeavy Duty Vehicle or plant operation exposure.
\nMechanical or technical aptitude.
\nMining or construction experience.<\/p>\n
