\nOverall Job Purpose :
\nThis role exists to provide condition monitoring data collection and analysis for the purpose of identifying which equipment performance parameters are out of limits through the application of predictive maintenance techniques in order to support the CBM work identification process.
\nSpecific Job Responsibility :
\nThe specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
\nPerform condition monitoring field inspections and follow monitoring checklists
\nPerform condition monitoring data collection and assigned field inspections according to guidelines provided by the Senior Condition Monitoring Analyst.
\nCarry out Condition Monitoring of the plant on installed Rotating Equipment using on-line and off-line data acquisition techniques with advanced portable data collectors and data analysis.
\nIdentify and report equipment performance standards out of limits through usage of predictive maintenance techniques to be able to generate RPAC work orders in Pronto
\nIdentify equipment performance parameters out of limits through the application of predictive maintenance techniques according to guidelines provided by equipment strategies.
\nShortlist and report defects to Senior Condition Monitoring Analyst in order to support CBM work
\nThe specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;

\nShortlist and report defects to Senior Condition Monitoring Analyst in order to support CBM work
\nProvide proactive maintenance data to planners and execution teams
\nCarries out extensive analysis on the vibration, thermographic, ultrasound and other data collected to diagnose\/troubleshoot rotating machinery and fixed asset problems and recommend remedial measures.
\nReports any major changes in equipment condition to the Senior Condition Monitoring Analyst and maintain data in the computerised system and produces regular reports
\nExecute post repair analysis of replaced components to improve analysis accuracy
\nImprove condition monitoring data collection
\nInvestigate application of new PdM techniques and\/or expand application of current PdM techniques.
\nMonitor the performance and application of PdM techniques for condition monitoring.
\nIdentify opportunities to automate condition monitoring through the usage of new technology and incorporate existing on-line monitoring sensors and transmitters.
\nContribute to the management of Health and Safety by;
\nIdentifying EH&S risks and exposures in the analysis and recommendation for change.
\nTake every opportunity to minimise environmental impacts and to use resources as efficiently as possible to promote sustainable development.
\nContributing to the identification of the significant Health and safety risks of the equipment.
\nEnsuring that incidents related to health, safety or the environment are reported and assist in investigations to identify any additional controls required.
\nAttend regular safety meetings.
\nBuild collateral and cross\u2013boundary working relationships
\nRespond in a timely manner to all requests for service from respective sections or management.
\nUse interactive and real-time data to help predict maintenance needs well in advance, thus enabling better planning and support services.
\nIdentify ways to do things faster, better, at less cost, with less waste, etc.
\nStrives to create a \u201cwow\u201d experience for the customer (maintenance and operations).
\nJob Specific Competencies :
\nCompetency on predictive maintenance techniques, such as: oil analysis, vibration analysis, NDT, thermography, health monitoring, etc.
\nKnowledge of process plant equipment and their diagnostics and fault analysis.
\nMust be computer literate i.e., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project.
\nExperience & Qualification
\nAt least 4 years maintenance experience in the mining industry
\nProficiency with maintenance and reliability systems (ERP or CMMS, monitoring systems; SCADA, OsiSoft PI and\/or databases in general).
\nExperience in fixed plant facilities.
\nPrevious experience with RCM, FMEA, TPM or any other equipment strategy identification methodology.
\nExperience with contamination control.
\nExperience in development of equipment health reports.
\nGrade 12 Twelve Certificate
\nTertiary and\/or trade qualifications with accompanying certificates (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation disciplines most desirable).
