\nReports to: Finance and Audit Committee and Chief Executive Officer
\nJob Overview:
\nThe Internal\u00a0Auditor\u00a0will be Responsible for conducting risk-based audits, identifying control weaknesses, and recommending practical improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability. The Internal auditor will be collaborating with management to ensure corrective actions are implemented, supports adherence to industry standards and legal requirements, and provides insights that strengthen governance and risk management frameworks.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u00a0Evaluate and test current internal control systems and documentation.
\nAssess the suitability of internal control designs and processes.
\nIdentify all significant control weaknesses and appropriately communicate these weaknesses to management timeously.
\nPerform risk assessments and internal audits as per the audit plan.
\nMonitor and follow up on the implementation of action plans for remedial actions.
\nDeveloping and implementing an annual audit plan.
\nPlan and execute internal audits as per audit plan, including determining audit objectives and scope, identifying and assessing risks.
\nDevelop audit programs and ensure compliance with internal audit work paper standards for each audit.
\nPrepare reports containing observations, comments and recommendations\u00a0for improvements\u00a0based on carried out work.
\nPresent findings at audit meetings.
\nEnsure the ongoing monitoring of management\u2019s corrective action plans until resolution.
\nIdentify the need for follow-up audits based on risks identified during an internal audit and maintain the audit plan.
\nMonitor appropriate measures for the prevention of fraud and elimination of conditions inductive to fraudulent actions.
\nPerform any other tasks as required.<\/p>\n

\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Grade 12 Certificate.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in accountancy,\u00a0Finance,\u00a0or full CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA, CIA.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Zambia).
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Minimum 3 years\u00a0of Internal Audit experience (experience in the Health Sector industry will be a plus).
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong\u00a0Knowledge of internal audit principles, standards, internal control environment<\/p>\n
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices is advantageous
\nFocus on improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n
