\nBILLING INSPECTORS
\nJOB PURPOSE:
\nTo inspect all customers on the Company billing database according to the commercial policy
\nACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full Grade 1 2 School Certificate with credit in Math and English.
\n\u00a0OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work under minimum supervision and meet set targets.<\/p>\n
Ability to compile accurate inspection reports.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be physically fit and willing to work in the field across all areas of the district.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of the local area will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Knowledge of water supply systems and meter operations will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
AGE PROFILE
\nShould be between 20 to 35 years.
\n\u00a0MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
\nThe successful candidates will be required to:<\/p>\n
Conduct field inspections of customers with zero billing, low billing, and dormant\/disconnected accounts.
\nVerify the physical status of water connections, meters, and customer premises.
\nConfirm meter readings, meter conditions, and identify faulty or tampered meters.
\nDetect and report illegal connections, bypasses, meter tampering, and unregistered water usage.
\nValidate customer account details including location, customer name, and occupancy status.
\nRecommend corrective actions such as meter replacement, reconnection, disconnection, or account updating.
\nEnsure all inspected accounts are accurately updated and reconciled with the billing database.
\nPrepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports.
\nEngage customers professionally and promote compliance with payment and service requirements.
\nEnsure confidentiality and integrity in handling customer information.
\nPerform any other duties assigned by Management.<\/p>\n
