\nReporting to the Superintendent \u2013 Ultra Class Trucks, you will be responsible for driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance execution of the ultra-class truck fleet, focusing on maximising fleet availability and performance through disciplined work management, reliability engineering practices, and alignment to Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and OEM standards.<\/p>\n
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Drive daily work management discipline across all shifts, ensuring effective control of work order (WO) creation, planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out
\nMaintain a healthy and controlled backlog through prioritisation based on safety, production impact, and asset criticality
\nEnsure all work is fully planned and resourced prior to execution (labour, parts, tools, and documentation)
\nEnforce high-quality WO close-out, including accurate failure coding, detailed feedback, and data integrity
\nLead and support failure analysis (RCFA\/RCA) processes to identify root causes and implement sustainable defect elimination actions
\nMonitor and analyse key fleet performance metrics (Availability, MTBF, MTTR, Cost per Hour) to identify improvement opportunities
\nActively manage \u201cbad actors\u201d within the fleet through focused reliability improvement initiatives
\nSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Asset Management Plans (AMPs) for ultra-class trucks
\nEnsure maintenance strategies are aligned with OEM recommendations and adapted to site operating conditions
\nContribute to Life Cycle Cost (LCC) optimisation through effective component life management and planned replacement strategies
\nSupport long-term asset health and performance through structured maintenance planning
\nEnsure effective utilization of CMMS systems for work management, reporting, and decision-making
\nSupport integration and optimization of condition monitoring platforms (e.g. DINGO) to enable predictive maintenance
\nMaintain high standards of data quality to support reliability analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
\nWork closely with maintenance planners to ensure accurate job scoping, scheduling, and resource allocation
\nCoordinate with operations to align maintenance activities with production requirements
\nEngage with supply chain and contractors to ensure timely availability of parts and services
\nDrive effective communication across all stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
\nPromote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with Zero Harm principles
\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with statutory, company, and site-specific safety requirements
\nLead by example in safe work practices, risk management, and environmental stewardship
\nEnsure all personnel are adequately trained, inducted, and competent<\/p>\n

\nTo be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
\nDegree in Mechanical, Electrical or other related Engineering field.
\nMinimum 5 years experience in Heavy Mobile Equipment maintenance.
\nProven supervisory experience in Mining or Heavy Industry environment.
\nStrong working knowledge of CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, AMT) and Maintenance Planning Processes
\nHolder of a current Zambian driver\u2019s license or be able to obtain one.\u00a0
\nDemonstrated experience in reliability engineering practices and data-driven decision-making
\nMember of the Engineering Institute of Zambia<\/p>\n
