The role focuses on day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, training coordination, and HR administration. The HR Officer will ensure compliance with labour laws, maintain accurate HR records, and provide frontline HR support to managers and staff.<br \/>\nkey<br \/>\nresponsibilities<br \/>\nRecruitment &amp; Onboarding<br \/>\nAssist in advertising vacancies, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.<br \/>\nCoordinate background checks, reference verifications, and police clearances where required.<br \/>\nPrepare offer letters and contracts in line with company standards.<br \/>\nFacilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new staff.<br \/>\nEmployee Relations<br \/>\nAct as the first point of contact for employee queries regarding policies, benefits, and conditions of service.<br \/>\nSupport the CHRO in handling grievances, disciplinary matters, and union engagements.<br \/>\nMaintain open communication channels with staff to promote a positive workplace culture.<br \/>\nPerformance Management, Training &amp; Development<br \/>\nAssist in administering performance appraisal processes.<br \/>\nEnsure job descriptions are updated and filed. Provide logistical support for performance review meetings. Coordinate internal and external training sessions. Track training attendance and maintain training records. Support managers in identifying staff development needs.<br \/>\nHuman Resource Information Systems<br \/>\nMaintain accurate employee records (contracts, benefits, leave, personal data).<br \/>\nUpdate HRIS with staff changes and generate routine HR reports.<br \/>\nConduct periodic audits of HR files and systems to ensure compliance.<br \/>\nCompensation, Benefits &amp; Payroll Administration<br \/>\nSupport payroll preparation by collecting and verifying attendance, leave, and overtime data.<br \/>\nAssist in administering staff benefits and explaining them to employees.<br \/>\nTrack enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefit programs.<br \/>\nCompliance &amp; Risk Management<br \/>\nEnsure HR practices comply with Zambian labor laws and company policies.<br \/>\nAssist in workplace safety initiatives and reporting incidents.<br \/>\nSupport HR audits and risk assessments.<br \/>\nkey<br \/>\nrequirements<br \/>\nQualifications, Experience<br \/>\nMinimum, bachelors degree in human resource, Business Administration or related field.<br \/>\n3-5 years of experience in Human Resource Functions, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or service industries.<br \/>\nOthers Key Attributes<br \/>\nKnowledge of Zambian Labour Laws and HR best practices.<br \/>\nExperience with HRIS systems and payroll support.<br \/>\nProfessional Body Affiliation\/ Membership<br \/>\nMember of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource (ZIRHM)<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
