\nresponsibilities<\/p>\n
Asset Register Management<\/p>\n
Maintain and update accurate asset registers for each property, tracking equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure.
\nConduct regular audits to verify the condition and functionality of assets.
\nCollaborate with finance and procurement departments to ensure accurate depreciation records.<\/p>\n
Maintenance Oversight<\/p>\n
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure the optimal functioning of all facilities and equipment.
\nSupervise and coordinate maintenance teams across multiple properties to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
\nConduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
\nPrioritize preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and reduce operational disruptions.
\nOversee the upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and all infrastructure.
\nDesign, introduce and follow up on effective property appropriate SOP\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Workshop Management<\/p>\n
Manage the workshop department, ensuring all equipment and vehicles are well-maintained and serviced.
\nCollaborate with workshop staff (with communication with the GM\u2019s) to ensure they have the necessary tools, training, and resources to perform their duties effectively.
\nMonitor workshop inventory and procurement of spare parts and materials.
\nImplement safety protocols and guidelines in the workshop to minimize accidents and injuries.
\nDesign, introduce and follow up on effective property appropriate SOP\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Communications & Media Studies<\/p>\n
Environmental Stewardship<\/p>\n
Develop and execute environmental conservation initiatives and sustainability programs in line with company values and local regulations.
\nWork closely with the properties\u2019 GM\u2019s to promote responsible tourism practices, including waste management, energy conservation, and wildlife protection.
\nMonitor and report on the environmental performance of each property and recommend improvements.
\nStay informed about new environmental regulations and industry best practices.
\nDesign, introduce and follow up on effective property appropriate SOP\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Collaboration with Property General Managers<\/p>\n
Establish strong communication channels with the General Managers of each property to align maintenance and environmental efforts with their respective goals and priorities.
\nCollaborate on strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to maintain a world-class establishment.
\nProvide regular updates and reports on maintenance and environmental performance to senior management in the form of weekly catch-ups and month end reporting.
\nWorking with respective GM\u2019s on annual budgets, to ensure all technical aspects for the year have been well planned and budgeted for.<\/p>\n
key\u00a0requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Experience<\/p>\n
At least 6 year\u2019s work experience work with diesel & petrol engines, vehicle mechanics, plumbing, electrics and general building
\nKnowledge of electric vehicles extremely advantageous.
\nAdvanced technical acumen across a broad range of technologies, especially as applied in a bush setting.
\nA hardworking, co-operative manner with a desire to always improve.
\nHigh standards of service excellence and a passion for the non-consumptive tourism industry.
\nAn awareness of international trends occurring within hospitality and the \u201coff grid\u201d technologies used by them.
\nAttention to detail.
\nExceptional English and a second language would be preferable.
\nGood computer literacy.
\nExcellent people management ability and communication skills.
\nAssertiveness, patience and good organizational skills.
\nGood computer literacy, especially Excel.
\nA developmental approach to staff and the desire to upskill and empower others.<\/p>\n
