MULTIPLE POSITIONS \u2013 ACCOUNTING MANAGER, MAINTENANCE MANAGER & ACCOUNTANT PAYABLES
\nKamimbi Aqua Feed Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Accounting Manager, Maintenance Manager and Accountant-Payables. These roles are based at the Kamimbi Aqua Feed Siavonga factory, Accounting Manager with occasional operations in the Lusaka Office.
\nACCOUNTING MANAGER\u00a0(X01)
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
\nEnsure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, regulatory filings, and financial reporting obligations.
\nProvide timely and accurate financial reports and insights to management for decision-making.
\nManage supplier payments for raw materials used in fish feed production (e.g., soya, maize, additives).
\nOversee customer invoicing and collections for finished fish feed products.
\nMonitor and control credit terms, outstanding receivables, and supplier obligations.
\nEnsure effective working capital management.
\nMonitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations.
\nOversee online banking transactions, payments, and reconciliations.
\nDevelop and maintain cash flow forecasts and advise management on funding requirements.
\nWork closely with operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation of raw materials and finished goods.
\nMonitor and control production costs and variances.
\nEnsure proper accounting for stock movements and consumption within the plant.
\nOversee the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing.
\nEnsure compliance with statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NHIMA, NAPSA).
\nProvide financial guidance and strategic input to management.
\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
\nIdentify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
\nSupport internal and external audits.
\nEnsure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and financial governance standards.
\nStrengthen financial controls to prevent errors, fraud, and inefficiencies.
\nLead, supervise, and develop the accounting team.
\nEnsure clear delegation of duties and high performance within the department.
\nFoster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE).
\nBachelor\u2019s degree plus a full professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA etc.).
\nMinimum 8+ years\u2019 experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
\nMember of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
\nStrong experience in accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management.
\nProficiency in IFRIS or similar ERP systems.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and online banking platforms.
\nAccurate and precise attention to detail.
\nMust uphold the company and professional code of ethics.
\nUnquestionable integrity.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\nStrategic thinking and problem-solving ability

\nMAINTENANCE MANAGER (X01)
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Lead and manage all plant maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems.
\nEnsure optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of all production equipment and assets.
\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
\nOversee breakdown maintenance and ensure minimal production downtime through rapid response systems.
\nPlan and schedule maintenance activities in alignment with production requirements.
\nSupervise, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to achieve high performance and technical competence.
\nManage maintenance budgets, cost controls, and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
\nOversee spare parts management, inventory control, and procurement planning.
\nEnsure full compliance with\u00a0\u00a0health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.
\nConduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean maintenance and reliability engineering practices.
\nOversee installation, commissioning, and upgrading of plant machinery and equipment.
\nEnsure proper documentation of maintenance activities, reports, and equipment history records.
\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, mean time between failures (MTBF), and maintenance costs.
\nCollaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to support operational efficiency.
\nManage and supervise contractors, service providers, and third-party technicians.
\nEnsure compliance with statutory inspections, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
\nImplement and maintain computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
\nLead emergency response and risk mitigation for plant-related incidents.
\nSupport audits (internal and external) and implement audit recommendations.
\nDrive energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives across plant operations.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
\nMinimum 8+ years\u2019 experiencein a manufacturing environment (feed mill experience is an added advantage).
\nProven experience in managing maintenance teams and factory operations.
\nStrong knowledge of plant equipment, automation systems, and utilities.
\nExperience with maintenance planning systems and reporting tools.
\nStrong leadership and team management skills
\nHigh level of accountability and attention to detail
\nProblem-solving and decision-making ability
\nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills
\nResults must be certified by ZAQA.<\/p>\n

\nACCOUNTANT \u2013 PAYABLES (X01)
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Ensure that payables accounts are reconciled weekly.
\nReview and verify supplier invoices
\nTrack payments and investigate outstanding payments.
\nEnsure the work is executed in accordance with accounting principles, policies and processes regulated by IAS\/IFRS (Accounting standards).
\nEnsure supplier payments are processed within agreed terms.
\nEnsure payment vouchers are signed and authorized by supervisor and authorized signatories.
\nEnsure month-end close journals\/postings are correct and on time. These include prepayments, revaluations and currency fluctuations.
\nEnsure all proof of payments are sent to beneficiaries.
\nResolve problems concerning all payables accounts.
\nEnsure effectiveness and efficiency of ad hoc reports.
\nEnsure proper accounting records are kept for all payments and invoices.
\nEnsure accurate and timely preparation of the Net Working Capital report for on-ward circulation to Senior Management is done.
\nOther duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n

\nBachelor\u2019s degree plus final\/studying ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA, or a full professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA.
\nMinimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
\nFamiliarity with Zambian tax regulations, IFRS, and feed production cost structures.
\nExcellent knowledge of accounting packages
\nMember of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
\nStrong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
