\nPOSITION: Teacher of Chemistry
\nDEPARTMENT: Academic
\nRESPONSIBILITIES:
\nThe Job holder will be responsible for preparing and delivering well-structured and differentiated lessons to Pupils in the section of the School. The position holder will be expected to develop and stimulate the learners in subject-specific competencies.
\nDuties include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
Taking responsibility for a class in a specific subject, supporting, nurturing, and taking a genuine interest in the holistic development of individual children in that class
\nDeveloping and enriching professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and CPDs.
\nEnforcing regulations concerning learners\u2019 conduct and discipline.
\nPlanning and implementing a relevant, challenging, and rigorous curriculum;
\nDesigning and delivering lessons, ensuring attention is given to appropriate differentiation
\nContributing to collaborative learning at all levels of school life
\nCreating inquiry-based classrooms that develop critical thinking skills, knowledge, and a range of skills within an environment based on trust, respect, and fairness;
\nSelecting relevant resources and leveraging digital tools to support and enhance learning;
\nPlay an active role in the School\u2019s extra-curricular programs.
\nAny other assigned duties
\nPerforming any other tasks, duties or functions within the realm of the appointment, as well as attending to any other official duties as assigned from time to time.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:
\nPreferred Academic and Professional Qualifications<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 certificate with 5 Credit or better;
\nA Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Education with specialty in Chemistry (Major) and Biology (Minor)
\nRegistered and licensed with The Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ)
\nMust be familiar with the school pathways of Examinations Councils of Zambia (ECZ) and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE)<\/p>\n
Knowledge \/ Experience \/Skills\/Competencies<\/p>\n

\nThree (3) years of teaching experience at a reputable School
\nA growth mindset
\nA creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
\nGood communication skills, both oral and written
\nGood administrative and interpersonal skills
\nStrong critical thinking, problem-solving skills
\nMust hold high levels of integrity and professionalism
\nFlexible to changing work needs
\nMust be computer literate<\/p>\n
