\nTechnician, Instrumentation \u2013 Engineering

\nJob Purpose:<\/p>\n
To be responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all Instrumentation and related equipment, used for the operation and optimization of the plant process & control systems, as well as minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing equipment availability.
\nAdditionally, to efficiently and effectively deliver complete and appropriate Planned Preventative Maintenance Task schedules on all relevant equipment, ensuring that administration in the areas of responsibility is up to date and accurate, contributing expertise and support to the Engineering and Processing departments

\nSpecific Job Responsibilities:
\nThe duties for the role will include but are not limited to the following:
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0Install, setup, calibrate, maintain, fault finding and maintain a wide variety of field Instrumentation devices and equipment, related to modern automated processing plants
\nSetup, calibrate, certify, maintain and troubleshoot PA (Process Automation) devices density and conveyor belt scale systems
\nSetup, calibrate, certify, maintain and troubleshoot weighbridge systems.
\nAny other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor<\/p>\n

\nJob Specific Competencies:
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Field Bus systems, specifically Profibus (DP & PA) and Modbus
\nSiemens S7-range of PLC hardware installation and troubleshooting
\nExceptional skills in Field Instrumentation, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting<\/p>\n

\nWorking experience on Crushers, Conveyors, Milling, Floatation Circuits, Reagent and Concentrate areas, Thickeners as well as Water and Air Services will be an added advantage<\/p>\n

\nQualifications:
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
A Diploma in an\u00a0Instrumentation-related\u00a0field
\nEIZ registration as an Instrumentation Technologist
\nRegistered and licenced by ZWMA
\nZAQA accredited certifications is a must.<\/p>\n
