\nDATA ENTRY CLERK (01 POSITION)
\nGrade:\u00a0WRM 07Department:\u00a0Water Resource Management & InformationReports to:\u00a0Inspector \u2013 HydrologyLocation:\u00a0Lusaka- Head Office<\/p>\n
Job Purpose:
\nTo enter water-related data in the databases for storage and easy retrieval to facilitate processing and analysis.
\nProfessional networking<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n\u2022 Enter water resources and related data into databases.\u2022 Clean up electronic data in order to enter coherent data into the database.\u2022 Assist in the collection of water resources data\u2022 Compile water resources data in order to facilitate analysis for decision making.\u2022 Maintain records of water resources data and information in order to provide ease access.\u2022 Assist to maintain Information Technology infrastructure\u2022 Ensure data security,\u00a0\u00a0risk management\u00a0and disaster recovery\u2022 Prepare and submit data reports on a monthly basis.\u2022 Performs any other duties that may be delegated from time to time by superiors.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:
\n\u2022 Grade 12 Certificate with Credit and above in Mathematics and English.\u2022 Certificate in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Environment, Natural Resources or any other related field.\u2022 1 year experience in a similar role.<\/p>\n
Required competencies\/Personal attributes\/Skills
\n\u2022 Moderate organisation and planning skills;\u2022 Good working knowledge of computer;\u2022 Data entry and analytical skills with exemplary work ethics;\u2022 Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.);\u2022 Possess fair level of problem solving and analytical skills with ability to perform under pressure;\u2022 Good critical thinking skills;\u2022 Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies.
