\n1. CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR<\/p>\n
Job Purpose
\nTo provide strategic leadership of the Internal Audit function and deliver independent, objective assurance and advisory services that enhance governance, risk management, and internal control processes across the University.

\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Develop and implement a risk-based Internal Audit strategy and annual audit plan aligned with the University\u2019s strategic objectives and risk profile.
\nProvide independent and objective assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
\nAssess and monitor compliance with University policies, statutes, regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
\nPresent audit findings, insights, and recommendations to Management and monitor the implementation of agreed actions.
\nLead, mentor, and build capacity within the Internal Audit team to ensure high performance and professional development.
\nCoordinate internal and external audit activities to ensure efficiency, consistency, and timely resolution of audit issues.
\nAdvise Management on risk exposure and emerging risks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
\nPromote a culture of accountability, integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement across the University.
\nPerform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 certificate with Five (5) \u2018O\u2019 level Credit or better including English and Mathematics.
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting\/Finance and \/or professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA.
\nMaster\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Full professional Accounting (ACCA, CIMA, ZICA).
\nMinimum of eight to ten (8\u201310) years\u2019 relevant work experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior audit or management role.
\nFully registered and paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), with full Membership.<\/p>\n

2. SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR
\nJob Purpose
\nTo support the Internal Audit function by planning and executing audit assignments and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across the University.

\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Plan, coordinate, and conduct risk-based internal audit assignments across academic and administrative units.
\nEvaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and identify risks within financial, operational, and academic processes.
\nPrepare clear, concise, and well-supported audit reports with practical and actionable recommendations.
\nMonitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
\nAssist in the development and enhancement of audit programs, methodologies, and tools in line with professional standards.
\nProvide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Internal Auditors to support capacity building and performance improvement.
\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Internal Audit function.
\nPerform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 certificate with Five (5) \u2018O\u2019 level Credit or better including English and Mathematics.
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting\/Finance and \/or professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA.
\nMaster\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Full professional Accounting (ACCA, CIMA, ZICA) is added advantage.
\nMinimum of (5 -7) years\u2019 relevant work experience in internal or external audit or accounting; and
\nFully registered and paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), with a minimum of Associate Membership.<\/p>\n

3. INTERNAL AUDITOR

Participate in the planning and execution of internal audit assignments across academic and support units.
\nCollect, analyse, and document sufficient and appropriate audit evidence to support audit findings.
\nAssess compliance with University policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
\nIdentify control weaknesses, risk exposures, and process inefficiencies, and contribute to the development of practical recommendations.
\nAssist in the preparation of clear and well-structured audit reports.
\nMaintain accurate and complete documentation of audit work in accordance with established standards and methodologies.
\nLiaise with auditees to obtain information and clarify audit issues.
\nContribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and practices.
\nPerform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n
