This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who is eager to grow within the accounting profession. The Junior Accountant will assist in daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and reporting, while gaining exposure to broader financial management practices.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\nRecord daily financial transactions in compliance with company accounting policies.<br \/>\nAssist with accounts payable and receivable processing, including invoice verification and posting.<br \/>\nPrepare and reconcile bank statements and petty cash records.<br \/>\nSupport payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee records.<br \/>\nFinancial Reporting<br \/>\nAssist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.<br \/>\nSupport the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and Zambian regulations.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate ledgers and journals for audit purposes.<br \/>\nCompliance &amp; Audit<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax submissions.<br \/>\nAssist in internal and external audit preparations.<br \/>\nMaintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records.<br \/>\nBudgeting &amp; Analysis<br \/>\nSupport the finance team in preparing budgets and forecasts.<br \/>\nPerform variance analysis and provide insights into cost control and efficiency.<br \/>\nAssist in monitoring departmental expenditures against approved budgets.<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience<br \/>\nDiploma or Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br \/>\nProfessional qualification (ZICA, ACCA, CIMA) \u2013 student or part-qualified preferred.<br \/>\n1\u20133 years of accounting experience (internship or entry-level roles included).<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.<br \/>\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP).<br \/>\nPersonal Attributes<br \/>\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy.<br \/>\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.<br \/>\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nIntegrity, professionalism, and commitment to deadlines.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
