The Assistant Safety Officer will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
Carry out risk assessments, identify hazards and accident prevention initiatives and methodologies for investigations of accidents.<\/p>\n
Facilitate the maintenance and management of occupational health, safety and well-being through system, audits\/inspections.<\/p>\n
Creating high standards and expectations on employee\u2019s safety awareness and behaviours and performance.<\/p>\n
Initiate statistical data and documentation of all risk assessments and ensure occupational safety related accidents are reported through relevant channels.<\/p>\n
Able to guide and demonstrate the usage of safety tools and ensure appropriate signage including FIRST AID Management.<\/p>\n
Qualification & Experience<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 GCE Level Certificate or GCSE<\/p>\n
A minimum of a Diploma\/Advanced Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management.<\/p>\n
Must be a member of the Zambia Occupational Health and Safety Association.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
At least a minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety in a manufacturing\/processing industry.<\/p>\n
Work experience in a plantation environment will be added advantage.<\/p>\n
