\nReporting into the Credit Operations Manager, the job purpose includes the below:<\/p>\n
Managing monthly employer submissions and remittance to ensure timely loan repayments
\nProcessing and receipting customer payments accurately and timeously
\nMaintaining accurate financial records through daily and monthly reconciliations
\nSupporting collections efforts by monitoring arrears and conducting credit analysis
\nResolving operational queries and processing settlements and refunds efficiently Manages the post-disbursement operational functions on the Consumer Lending unit, ensuring accurate payment processing, submissions, employer coordination, collections support and financial reconciliations.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Preparing and submitting loan deduction schedules to employers.
\nFollowing up with employers to ensure deductions are processed correctly.
\nReconciling employer remittances against deduction schedules.
\nResolving discrepancies in employer deductions and updating loan accounts.
\nReceipting payments from various channels (salary deductions, over the counter payments and any other source of payment).
\nAllocating payments correctly to customer loan accounts.
\nProcessing bulk payments and employer remittances.
\nIssuing payment confirmations to customer and employers.
\nPerforming daily reconciliations on payments received against allocated accounts.
\nReconciling loan accounts against aggregate loan book data.
\nIdentifying and investigating variances or unallocated payments.
\nPreparing reconciliation reports for Management review.
\nResolving suspense account items promptly.
\nGenerating daily\/weekly arrears reports by bucket.
\nMonitoring clients who miss employer deductions or direct payments with a specific emphasis on First Instalment Defaults.
\nConducting basic credit analysis to assess credit repayment capacity.
\nMaking courtesy calls to customers in early arrears.
\nDocumenting collection efforts and customer commitments.
\nProcessing full loan settlements and issuing clearance letters.
\nManaging overpayment refunds and processing refund requests.
\nCoordinating with Finance and Operations for refund approvals and disbursements.
\nMaintaining settlement and refund records.
\nResolving customer queries on payment allocations, loan account balances and deductions.
\nInvestigating and correcting posting errors or misallocations.
\nLiaising with loan administrators, employers and other key stakeholders to resolve customer queries and complaints.
\nEscalating complex queries to supervisor and other relevant departments.
\nMaintaining query logs and response time tracking.
\nAnalysing payment trends, deduction success rates and arrears patterns.
\nPreparing operational performance reports.
\nIdentifying process bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
\nProviding insight on employer performance and customer payment behaviour.
\nSupporting Management with ad-hoc data requests and analysis.
\nEnsuring adherence to financial controls and limits.
\nMaintaining accurate audit trails for all transactions.
\nSafeguarding customer information and payment security.
\nMeeting turnaround time and accuracy targets.
\nStay updated on regulatory changes affecting the Consumer Lending landscape.
\nIdentifying appropriate formal and occupational (informal) training needs and courses (internal\/external) to develop oneself.
\nUp-Skilling oneself regarding new procedures through attendance of workshops\/ conferences\/ presentations and reading of internal and external publications.
\nMaintaining accurate employer contact databases and submission calendars<\/p>\n

Technical Skills & Competence:<\/p>\n
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration\/Marketing\/Accounting.
\nAccurate Data Capturing
\nKnowledge in Reconciliation
\nKnowledge Data analysis
\nCritical Thinking
\n2-3 years minimum in data capturing with minimal errors
\nExpertise and previous experience in data analytics would be an added advantage
\nPrevious experience with financial\/banking systems and software

\nStrong oral and written communication skills<\/p>\n
