\nJob Purpose;
\nThe Procurement Officer will work closely with the Procurement Manager and the MD\u00a0 and the other key stakeholders on all sourcing needs for the organization and help to identify where aggregated spending might offer better value for money in line with the set regulations. \nSummary of Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Take the lead in analyzing and calculating the costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
\nWork with the Procurement Manager to oversee procurement processes, including review of purchase requisitions, request for quotations, supplier selection, negotiations, and purchase and delivery forms.
\nConduct monthly and quarterly cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
\nManaging the company\u2019s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending in line with the set guidelines
\nEnsure proper housekeeping of physical and electronic files and project assets are accounted for and deployed as appropriate.
\nResponsible for quality stock control, including proper storage and packaging of stock inventory
\nEnsure at all times that Company procurement policies and procedures are adhered to by each member of staff attached to the Supply Chain department
\nDevelop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
\nOptimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
\nWork with the Procurement Manager to cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
\nCompare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Advanced Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or Related
\nWork experience of a\u00a0minimum of 3+ years in Supply Chain Management within a Retail, Mining and Engineering Environment
\nFresh Graduates with a Bachelors Degree in Procurement are encouraged to apply
\nMust be familiar with local and international Supply Chain Dynamics within the Retail Sector
\nShould be well vested with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
\nMust demonstrate knowledge of the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) regulations.
\nMust be a member of ZIPS<\/p>\n
