\nPurpose of the Role:
\nConduct process operations training and development activities aimed at improving the performance of the business by improving performance of employees through enhancing of knowledge and skills of process operations employees.
\nDesign Training Interventions
\nFormulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods
\nDevelop relevant, value-adding training material in accordance with FQM Trident Standards
\nDevelop and deliver simulator-based control room training scenarios covering start-up, shutdown, process upsets, and emergency conditions.
\nDevelop training curriculum for new and existing employees.
\nAnalyse feedback and amend training programme as required Design training manuals for internal documented procedures
\nDevelops teaching aids, such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
\nAll interventions to be aligned with e-learning\/online initiatives
\nEnsuring training objectives are met
\nFacilitate Training Interventions
\nFacilitates relevant training interventions
\nFacilitate the transfer of skills and knowledge
\nAccurately assess skills, abilities and knowledge to determine competence levels
\nConducting training needs assessment
\nModerate training interventions and assessments for formal programmes
\nTests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
\nFacilitate induction programme for new staff
\nMonitor and report on training projects and the enhancement of training initiatives
\nAssist and prepare facilitators and assessors with all online related activities when developing programmes
\nPerforms Tasks Associated with The Administrative and Reporting Requirements of the Function
\nScheduling training events in INX-InTuition
\nManage both physical and electronic training records
\nConduct theory and practical assessments in line with the assessment guideline.
\nEnsure issuance of relevant certifications
\nEnsure safe operation of all equipment under trainers\u2019 supervision.
\nConducting planned task observations [PTOs]
\nEnsuring Safety and Environmental incidents are report promptly
\nSubmit daily activity training report
\nPerforming any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
\nKey Job Attributes:
\nProficient knowledge and experience in a mineral processing plant with Gyratory and Jaw Crushing, Cone Crushing, SAG Milling, Ball Milling, Flotation, Dewatering.
\nExposure to Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7
\nPossess ability to analyze and understand metallurgical & equipment information
\nMust have hands-on experience with process plant operations
\nConducting Training Needs Assessment
\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite
\nCommunication skills with good command of the English language.
\nTraining material and assessment documents development.
\nMentoring and Coaching
\nPresentation and Facilitation
\nExcellent organizational and report writing skills
\nKnowledge in basic health and safety
\nCoordinating training events
\nKnowledge of e-learning platforms
\nGood planning skills
\nEvaluation skills
\nTraining design skills
\nSubject matter expert
\nCareer development courses
\nExperience & Qualifications:
\nMinimum of a full grade 12 certificate.
\nMinimum of Degree in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering or related field
\nDiploma in Training and Development, Teaching Methodology or equivalent will be an added advantage
\nAt least 3 to 5 years\u2019 experience in process operations at supervisory level (preferably in copper and\/or Nickel mining industry).
\nAt least 2 years\u2019 experience as a trainer and assessor in the mining industry or similar
\nHands-on experience in mineral processing plant control room operations, preferably with exposure to Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7
\nTraining professional registered with TEVETA
\nValid EIZ\/ERB Membership
\nAll qualifications must be certified by ZAQA
