Care Co-operative Savings & Credit Society Limited, hereinafter referred to as \u201cCareCoop\u201d, is a leading Savings and Credit Cooperative (SACCO) that has been operating in Zambia since 1996 under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
\nOver the years, CareCoop has evolved from serving a small initial membership base to a growing and diverse SACCO serving employees, organizations, and associate members. From an initial 50 members in 1996, CareCoop now serves over 8,500 members. For over 30 years, CareCoop has remained a pioneer SACCO in the provision of affordable and innovative financial solutions tailored to member needs. Operating under the Co- operative Act of 1998 and currently supervised by the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development, CareCoop continues to encourage savings, promote shareholding, and provide accessible loan products and related services to its members.
\nCareCoop is seeking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Officer who will be responsible for driving membership growth by promoting CareCoop\u2019s value proposition and strengthening member engagement through effective sales, marketing, and relationship management initiatives.
\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Identify and target potential member organizations, common-bond groups, and individual members in line with CareCoop\u2019s membership growth strategy.
\n\u2013 Promote CareCoop\u2019s savings, shares, loan products, insurance-related offerings, and digital member services through well-planned marketing activities and campaigns.
\n\u2013 Translate CareCoop\u2019s strategic objectives into practical sales and marketing initiatives that grow membership, deepen product uptake, and strengthen brand visibility.
\n\u2013 Develop and implement market-segment-specific campaigns to attract new
\nmembers and increase awareness of CareCoop products and services. \u2013 Build and maintain strong relationships with members, partner organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance member retention and business growth.
\n\u2013 Conduct market research, member satisfaction surveys, and competitor analysis to assess CareCoop\u2019s positioning, identify opportunities, and make
\nrecommendations to Management.
\n\u2013 Coordinate communication and public relations activities, including brochures, newsletters, member education materials, presentations, and other promotional content.
\n\u2013 Provide high-quality member service in line with CareCoop policy to strengthen relationships, enhance satisfaction, and support business development.
\n\u2013 Maintain accurate records of sales activities, membership growth, campaign performance, and stakeholder engagements for management decision-making.
\n\u2013 Support branch and operations teams in delivering a consistent and positive member experience across all CareCoop service channels.
\n\u2013 Manage CareCoop\u2019s branding and all external communication platforms to ensure consistent and professional representation of the organization.
\nKnowledge and Skills Requirements
\n\u2013 Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent, with a minimum of five (5) \u2018O\u2019 Levels at Credit or better.
\n\u2013 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication, or an equivalent field.
\n\u2013 At least three (3) years\u2019 experience in a similar role.
\n\u2013 Sound knowledge of savings and credit operations, financial products, and member service principles.
\n\u2013 Strong analytical, sales, and marketing skills.
\n\u2013 Good records management and report-writing skills.
\n\u2013 Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n\u2013 Proficiency in internet applications, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
\n\u2013 Experience in social media management and digital marketing will be an added advantage.
