{"id":8523,"date":"2026-05-19T20:02:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T20:02:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/tax-accountant-at-varun-beverages-zambia-limited\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T20:02:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T20:02:18","slug":"tax-accountant-at-varun-beverages-zambia-limited","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/tax-accountant-at-varun-beverages-zambia-limited\/","title":{"rendered":"Tax Accountant at Varun Beverages Zambia Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Title: Tax Accountant x 1<br \/>\nVarun Beverages Zambia Limited<br \/>\nLusaka<\/p>\n<p>Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) tax requirements.<br \/>\nManage VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, and Customs-related tax matters.<br \/>\nReconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.<br \/>\nPrepare tax computations and schedules.<br \/>\nSupport tax audits and respond to tax authority queries.<br \/>\nMonitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on impacts.<br \/>\nMaintain proper documentation for tax compliance and reporting.<br \/>\nAssist in transfer pricing and intercompany tax matters where applicable.<br \/>\nCoordinate with finance, payroll, procurement, and logistics departments on tax issues.<br \/>\nEnsure timely payment of taxes and statutory obligations.<br \/>\nSupport internal and external audits.<br \/>\nIdentify opportunities for tax efficiency and risk reduction.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>ACCA, ZICA CA Zambia, or CTA\/ATT equivalent.<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s in Accounting, Taxation, Law, or Finance<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>5+ years in tax accounting\/compliance, ideally in-house or with a Big 4\/mid-tier firm<br \/>\nExpert knowledge of Zambian Tax Act: VAT, PAYE, WHT, Corporate Income Tax, Customs &amp; Excise<br \/>\nHands-on with ZRA e-services, tax audits, objections, and appeals<br \/>\nExperience in tax planning, transfer pricing basics, and IFRS tax provisions IAS 12<br \/>\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple statutory deadlines<br \/>\nExperience liaising directly with ZRA and external auditors<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
