Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Key Purpose\u00a0of the BOP Operator is the operation of the manual brewing plant and process not associated with PLC control, the execution of maintenance and asset care activities in support of the Brewing Technician Artisan. The BOP Operator also supports the Brewing Technician Operator in the execution of quality control checks.<\/p>\n<p>Key Roles and Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Operating manual equipment in Brewing process areas according to the work instructions and supporting the plant control system under instructions of the Brewing Team Leader.<br \/>\nConstantly reviewing process performance against target and recording short stops.<br \/>\nWhere process performance does not meet target, or trends or opportunities timeously. indicate the existence of problems, corrective action must be initiated.<br \/>\nRecording waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems and reviewing waste trends to identify problems Carrying out the required quality checks as described in the quality control and analyses work practice.<br \/>\nResponding rapidly to upstream or downstream triggers that could result in quality or production problems.<br \/>\nAppropriate problem-solving approaches, as detailed in the problem-solving work practice must be followed<br \/>\nOperate designated plant and equipment<br \/>\nMonitor specific production processes on shift [brewing sub dept specific]<br \/>\nEnsure process quality and productivity<br \/>\nEnsure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment<br \/>\nCo-ordinate autonomous maintenance and cleaning<br \/>\nPerforming housekeeping tasks, applying 4s principles and following safe work practices.<br \/>\nUnsafe work practices must be identified and corrected.<br \/>\nPerforming simple autonomous maintenance tasks (e.g. replacement of simple valves), in accordance with the maintenance schedule, and where required requesting the assistance of the Process Artisan.<br \/>\nIdentify defective plant and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader for resolution.<br \/>\nCarrying out in-depth cleaning, lubrication and inspection of equipment according to the work instructions and in accordance with the Autonomous maintenance schedule.<br \/>\nCarrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.<br \/>\nThe list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions. Where quality problems have arisen, apply the 5Y\u2019s and quick fix routines to resolve.<br \/>\nActively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. making use of the gap list to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities.<br \/>\nFully understand the team goals and participate in team goal review sessions.<br \/>\nMake use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues.<br \/>\nComplete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated.<br \/>\nWhere problems occur, use 5Y\u2019s and quick fix routines to identify the possible origin and report these to the Process Artisan and or Team Leader for resolution.<br \/>\nProvide information to teams carrying out problem solving or FFA\u2019s as required.<br \/>\nIdentify sources of waste and report these to the Team Leader.<br \/>\n\u00a0Shift efficiencies within Brewhouse, Cellars and Filtration<br \/>\nPlant reliability<br \/>\nAsset management indicators<br \/>\nAdherence to PPE policies<br \/>\nGeneral production housekeeping<br \/>\nIdentification of unsafe practices<br \/>\nSafety inspections conducted<br \/>\nEnsure staff medical compliance<br \/>\n1-on-1\u2019s completed<br \/>\nCAP\/SKAP managed<br \/>\nTeam communication<br \/>\nPeople development managed<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>IINTERNAL: Criteria Level 4 Literacy Level 4 Numeracy<br \/>\nRelevant prior AB In Bev experience Mechanical aptitude<br \/>\nMachine specific experience<br \/>\nExternal Criteria Grade 12<br \/>\nMechanical aptitude<br \/>\nPC literacy (Microsoft\/SAP)<br \/>\nEXTERNAL: Grade 12<br \/>\nIBD certificate<br \/>\nCompleted brewing learnership2 \u2013 5 years\u2019 experience in a brewing environment<br \/>\nPrevious experience in a process-controlled manufacturing environment, ideally in food FMCG products.<br \/>\nTraining: CAP\/SKAP completed and assessed summative within 12 months<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nAdditional information:<\/p>\n<p>BAND: XI<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nABInBev is an equal opportunity employer, and all appointments will be made in line with ABInBev employment equity plan and talent requirements.
