The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is a body corporate established under the repealed Securities Act, Cap. 354 of the Laws of Zambia and whose existence is continued under the new Securities Act, No. 41 of 2016. SEC has the objective of inter alia regulating and developing the Zambian Capital Markets and is responsible for the supervision and development of the Capital Markets in Zambia as well as the licensing of financial intermediaries, collective investment schemes and securities exchanges, the registration of securities to be issued such as debt and equity instruments, and the authorization of transactions in entities registered with SEC.<\/p>\n
SEC now seeks to recruit qualified Zambians to fill the following positions:

\n9.1 Grade: SEC06
\n9.2 Job Purpose
\nTo undertake the design, development, acquisition, maintenance, and administration of software platforms in order to facilitate efficient, secure, and reliable delivery of ICT-enabled services across the Commission.<\/p>\n
9.3 Key Result Areas and Principal Accountabilities<\/p>\n

Systems Development
\nCoordinate design, development, testing, and deployment of software platforms.<\/p>\n
User Needs Assessment
\nConduct periodic user needs assessments to facilitate systems development and automation.<\/p>\n
IT Support
\nProvide technical support relating to software platforms.<\/p>\n
User Guidelines and Support
\nDevelop user guidelines and provide application support.<\/p>\n
Database Administration
\nDesign and administer the Commission\u2019s databases.<\/p>\n
Capacity Building
\nUndertake training and capacity building initiatives for end-users.<\/p>\n
Systems Documentation
\nEnsure timely documentation of software platforms and system inventories.<\/p>\n
Software Maintenance
\nUndertake maintenance and administration of software platforms.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and Evaluation
\nMonitor and evaluate software platform performance and implementation.<\/p>\n
Risk Management
\nDevelop and maintain the software platforms risk register.<\/p>\n
9.4 Required Competencies \/ Personal Qualities<\/p>\n

\n9.5 Qualifications \/ Requirements
\n\u2022 Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate;\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer Science or equivalent;\u2022 Membership of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ); and\u2022 Project Management Certification (PMI or equivalent).\u2022 All qualifications must be ZAQA verified.<\/p>\n
9.6 Minimum Relevant Work Experience
\n\u2022 Minimum of three (3) years\u2019 relevant experience in software development, systems administration, database management, or ICT systems support.
