The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting construction drawings, preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and producing technical drawings to support project planning and execution.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nA. Quantity Surveying<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Review and analyse architectural and engineering drawings.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct material take-offs and ensure accuracy in measurements.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Monitor and manage project materials across multiple sites in line with the prepared BOQ.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist in estimate preparation, evaluation, and contract administration.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provide cost control and value engineering recommendations.<br \/>\nB. AutoCAD &amp; Drafting<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Create, edit, and update technical drawings using AutoCAD.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Draft construction details, layouts, and plans as required.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collaborate with engineers and architects to refine designs.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE<br \/>\nMinimum Qualifications<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be a registered and fully paid-up member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 All academic qualifications must be certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)<br \/>\nExperience<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Minimum 3\u20135 years of proven experience in\u00a0quantity surveying and drafting.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting\/design software.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong analytical and numerical skills.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good communication and teamwork abilities.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0Preferred Attributes<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Experience in both consultancy and contracting environments.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
