POSITION 1: ELECTROMECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (Generators, Pumps & Motors)
\nLocation:\u00a0Lusaka, Zambia
\nEmployment Type:\u00a0Full-time \/ Immediate start
\nRole Summary
\nWe are looking for a hands-on\u00a0Electromechanical Technician\u00a0with proven experience in\u00a0fixing and repairing generators, pumps, electric motors, and mechanical drive systems.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Diagnose and repair\u00a0diesel and petrol generators\u00a0(1kVA \u2013 100kVA): engine starting problems, no power output, AVR failure, voltage\/frequency instability, fuel system issues, and alternator faults.
\nTroubleshoot and repair\u00a0water pumps\u00a0(centrifugal, borehole, booster pumps): motor seizure, capacitor failure, pressure switch faults, mechanical seal replacement, and impeller damage.
\nRepair\u00a0electric motors\u00a0(single-phase and three-phase): winding testing, bearing replacement, capacitor checking, and thermal overload resetting.
\nPerform mechanical repairs: belt alignment, coupling replacement, shaft straightening, and lubrication.
\nUse diagnostic tools: multimeter, clamp meter, megohmmeter, tachometer, pressure gauge, and dial gauge.
\nRead mechanical and electrical schematics for generators and pump control panels.
\nComplete service reports and preventive maintenance logs.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Minimum:\u00a0Certificate or Diploma in\u00a0Electromechanical Technician\u00a0, Electromechanical Engineering,\u00a0Mechanical Engineering, or\u00a0Electrical Engineering\u00a0(with strong mechanical background).
\nExperience:\u00a03\u20135 years hands-on experience repairing\u00a0generators, pumps, and motors.
\nAbility to work on-site and in-workshop.<\/p>\n
