Position Overview:
\nThe\u00a0Project Manager\u00a0is CSI\u2019s lead operational representative on the ground in Zambia, responsible for the day-to-day management of all onsite project activities and coordination of the full onsite team. The role ensures all PMC and Owner\u2019s Engineer services are delivered in accordance with the contract scope, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
\nProject Management
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Manage all onsite project activities across the solar PV and BESS program, coordinating the onsite multi-discipline team.
\nDevelop and maintain the project execution plan, site mobilization plan, and onsite reporting system.
\nMonitor EPC contractor progress against the approved baseline schedule and escalate deviations to the Project Director.
\nChair and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly site meetings with EPC contractors and stakeholders.
\nReview and track engineering submittals, inspection reports, NCRs, and construction punch lists (notes list).
\nManage the document control system in coordination with the Document Controller.
\nOversee construction inspection activities, commissioning supervision, and technical acceptance processes.
\nPrepare weekly and monthly progress reports for submission to the Client and CSI senior management.
\nManage interface risks between SPVs, EPC contractors, grid operators, and government bodies.
\nEnsure compliance with local regulations, environmental requirements, and the project HSE plan.
\nCoordinate with the offsite Engineering Manager for timely resolution of technical queries and RFIs.
\nManage onsite resource deployment and ensure all personnel hold required competencies and certifications.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
\nMinimum 12 years of engineering and project management experience.
\nAt least 5 years managing onsite delivery of Solar PV and\/or energy storage projects.
\nExperience in PMC or Owner\u2019s Engineer roles is highly preferred.
\nPMP or PRINCE2 certification is desirable.
\nProficient in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
\nStrong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
\nExcellent written and verbal English.<\/p>\n
