\nJob description:
\nThe Planning Coordinator \u2013 Mining Fleet oversees the maintenance planning team to ensure an effective Planning process. Ensure effective communication with execution and support teams to minimize downtime and optimize asset reliability. This role ensures compliance with maintenance standards, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Supervise the planning team in developing and continuously improving maintenance plans and schedules for the fleet assigned in Mine Maintenance (e.g., haul trucks, shovels, drills, and auxiliary equipment).
\nEnsure maintenance plans comply with OEM recommendations, safety regulations, and the Strategic Asset Management Plan. (SAMP)
\nOversee the preparation and distribution of the +12 weeks Plan, including PMs, change-out components, and corrective maintenance.
\nCoordinate with operations, reliability, warehouse, and execution teams to align maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime.
\nMonitor work order backlogs, ensuring appropriate prioritization and follow-up.
\nParticipate in validating and approving job plans, task lists, man-hour estimates, and material requirements.
\nEnsure accurate data entry into PRONTO.
\nLead the planning meetings and facilitate communication between departments.
\nSupport shutdown planning and execution for major maintenance events (PCR, Overhauls)
\nTrack maintenance KPIs (e.g., schedule compliance, PM compliance, Work request process) and lead initiatives to improve planning performance.
\nCoach and mentor the Scheduler and Planners, ensuring compliance with planning procedures and best practices.
\nLead the development of the Budget Maintenance on zero-based budgeting for the entire fleet.
\nLead the Develop the Forecast Maintenance Cost 2+10, 5+7, 7+5 and ensure all activities are aligned in PRONTO.
\nEnsure the compliance of Work Management in Kansanshi.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical\/ Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
\nGrade twelve (12) school certificate or equivalent.
\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering\/ Welding Structural Specialist.
\nExtensive knowledge in ERP systems such as Pronto.
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
\nStrong ability to work in a \u201cteam\u201d environment.
\nAbility to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
\nAbility to work in a multi-cultural environment
\nStrong understanding and capability of positive safety culture, practical application of risk assessment, hazard\u00a0identification\/controls,\u00a0and incident\u00a0management\/reporting.
\nAll academic qualifications and results must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<\/p>\n
