\nJob description:
\nThe Foreman, Excavator will be responsible for the reliability and availability of the maintenance team by building, assessing and continuously improving the equipment availability. Identify, develop, and implement improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and operations processes.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Supervise planned and breakdown maintenance on all Mechanical systems on Excavator Machines
\nEnsure works order compliance.
\nOrder parts and draw parts from onsite warehouse\/s.
\nActively promote full cooperation between the maintenance and mining operation
\nPrioritize workload as per equipment priority and production requirements.
\nDrive to achieve required equipment availability and reliability targets.
\nAdvise management of whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
\nOffer sound knowledge of reading schematics and troubleshooting fault on equipment
\nStrong commitment towards safe work practices.
\nCoordinate activities of your team in accordance with the maintenance weekly plan
\nParticipate in the formulation of the weekly plan
\nRotable management on the shop floor in liaison with the part and rotable controller
\nLiaise with the leadership team on performance issues
\nEmbed the culture of quality repairs and continuous improvement in the team
\nCarry out routine safety and statutory inspections
\nCarry out planned repairs in the workshop
\nManaging & reporting of the parts availability
\nMonitor Condition of equipment
\nIdentify continuous improvement opportunities<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCE<\/p>\n
Minimum of a Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
\nCraft or Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair or equivalent.
\nA member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
\nValid Driver\u2019s License \u2013 Class C
\nStrong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience working with PRONTO
\nExcellent verbal and written skills in English.
\nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
\nMinimum of 4 years\u2019 proven experience working on Liebher and Hitachi Excavators
\nAll academic qualifications and results must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<\/p>\n
