\nREGISTRAR
\nJOB PURPOSE
\nThe Registrar shall serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the ZIP Secretariat and shall oversee the day-to-day operations of the Institute in accordance with the Urban and Regional Planners Act of 2011 and the ZIP Constitution.
\nThe role includes management of membership registration, stakeholder engagement, strategic institutional development, governance support, fundraising, organisational management, and provision of secretariat services to all Council meetings and other organs of the Institute.
\nRESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Registration of planners, planning firms, educational institutions, planning units, and students.
\nIssuance of registration certificates and practising licences.
\nMaintenance and upgrading of the membership database and institutional records.
\nDevelopment and implementation of membership retention initiatives.
\nFacilitating strategic engagements with Government institutions, cooperating partners, private sector organisations, local authorities, academic institutions, and development partners.
\nServing as Secretariat to all Council meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), and institutional committees including preparation and circulation of agendas, reports, and minutes.
\nEnhancing the visibility and public profile of the Institute through strategic\u00a0\u00a0communication, media engagement, and social media management.
\nMobilising resources and leading institutional fundraising initiatives.
\nCoordinating preparation of strategic plans, annual work plans, budgets, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and performance management systems.
\nOverseeing institutional operations, staff supervision, policy development, and implementation of organisational procedures.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Registered Member of the Zambia Institute of Planners.
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Spatial, Social, Economic, Environmental Planning, or related Social Sciences.
\nA Master\u2019s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
\nFull Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
\nMinimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in a planning-related field in Zambia.
\nValid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES<\/p>\n
Knowledge of the ZIP Constitution and Urban and Regional Planners Act of 2011.
\nExcellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
\nStrong fundraising, strategic planning, budgeting, and project management skills.
\nExcellent report writing, presentation, and analytical capabilities.
\nStrong ICT proficiency including database management and digital communication platforms.
\nHigh levels of professionalism, integrity, and organizational leadership.<\/p>\n
