Lusaka West Medical Center is a soon to open private health facility in Lusaka looking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the position of\u00a0Registered Nurse.
\nJob Purpose
\nWe are seeking a committed and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality primary healthcare, support treatment of common ailments, basic emergency care and occupational health management within the workplace environment.
\nReporting Line
\nThe Registered Nurse will report to the Administrator of the Medical Center.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nThe responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n
Providing basic emergency care.
\nConducting medical assessments, screenings, and health surveillance programs.
\nIdentifying and triaging occupational illnesses and injuries appropriately.
\nAdministering treatment and medication as guided by the Medical Doctors.
\nMaintaining accurate and up-to-date patient and clinic records.
\nMonitoring and controlling clinic stock levels, medical supplies, and equipment.
\nPromoting workplace health and wellness through sensitization programs.
\nEnsuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
\nAssisting in the management of workplace accidents and medical emergencies.
\nCollaborating with emergency response teams and relevant stakeholders.
\nMaintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention within the clinic.
\nPreparing and submitting clinic reports and statistics as required.
\nSupporting employees with health education and preventive healthcare initiatives.
\nAbility to work in demanding environments, including shifts where required and necessary.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements
\nTo be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate.
\nDiploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
\nOccupational Health qualification will be an added advantage.
\nMust be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia.
\n\u00a0Posses a valid practicing license.
\nGood clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification; ILS\/ALS certification will be an added advantage.
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and within a team environment.<\/p>\n
Job Experience
\nPrevious clinical experience in a health setting will be an added advantage.
