Key Responsibilities & Job Description
\nRemote work equipment<\/p>\n
Serve as the core resident site translator, providing real-time interpretation between Chinese (Mandarin) and English for management and the local construction workforce.<\/p>\n
Remain stationed full-time at the project base in Kaoma, Western Province, to handle daily communication and resolve issues promptly.<\/p>\n
Translate construction safety protocols, daily tool-kit briefings, operational tasks, and engineering requirements directly on-site.<\/p>\n
Assist in handling basic site administrative documentation and data logging using general office software tools.<\/p>\n
Act as a crucial intermediary to manage local worker relations, resolve cultural or linguistic misunderstandings, and facilitate smooth teamwork.<\/p>\n
Perform additional site-support or logistical administrative tasks assigned by the project director.<\/p>\n
Requirements & Qualifications<\/p>\n
Mandatory proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) equivalent to HSK Level 4 or HSK Level 5 (certified or demonstrated fluent communication).<\/p>\n
Strong verbal translation and practical dialogue comprehension skills to facilitate seamless site operations.<\/p>\n
Basic computer literacy with elementary proficiency in basic office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) for basic report entries.<\/p>\n
Adaptability to a full-time residential site model in Kaoma, Western Province; resilient and comfortable with construction campsite environments.<\/p>\n
Excellent interpersonal coordination and communication skills; cooperative attitude when interacting with both local personnel and Chinese engineering supervisors.<\/p>\n
