Job Description
The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is a statutory body mandated to ensure the provision of a level playing field for safe, reliable and sustainable energy supply through effectiveregulation. ZERA seeks the services of a highly competent and results oriented individual to actively contribute to the execution of this mandate.Regional Compliance Officer-MutareReporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager, the Key Job Functions of this position will be:

Duties and Responsibilities
• Facilitating licensing of fuel and LPG operators in the region.• Carrying out routine and pre-licensing inspections for fuel and LPG sites.• Carrying out compliance monitoring to ensure all fuel and gas operators licensees are compliant to licensing, pricing and technical requirements.• Administering the prosecution of operators violating licensing, pricing and technical regulations and standards.• Ensuring returns are diligently submitted by all licensees.• Facilitating training of LPG and fuel operators on petroleum standards and regulations.• Assisting with investigations of complaints/disputes/incidents/accidents in the petroleum industry.• Participates in regional consumer and stakeholder education and awareness programs.• Carrying out any other related duties including liquid fuel sites inspections and audits as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience
Key Job Requirements:The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:• Four-year degree in Civil/Mechanical/Fuels/Chemical Engineering from a recognised technical training institution or university.• At least 5 years’ experience in the petroleum industry covering LPG and Fuel installations.• Demonstrated knowledge of safety, health, environment and quality systems for the petroleum industry.• Knowledge of petroleum industry standards and codes will be an added advantage.• Clean class 4 driver’s licence is a necessary.
